Re: Physiological Musings
Ditto, Terastas. My Lupans are two percentage points more Standard Human than Chimps, which by general Law makes them a race of Humanity. They use this as proof that they should enjoy the same rights as humans, rather than be seen as animals. In the "Wulfen" series, they came "out&quo...

Mess with his head. That would be hilarious. "Yeah, I had this really crazy dream that I saw some guy turn into a wolf last night..." And (of course) he's talking to the werewolf in question. You could further mess with their heads by saying, "I had a crazy dream like that too,...

This looks like fun, and I could use some fun right now... 5: Werewolves should demonstrate their usefulness to their neighbors, like carrying very heavy objects while in Fur to assist these neighbors when things like refrigerators need to be removed so a new one can be put in its place. Taking out ...

Re: The Werewolf's Guide to Life
He was a semi-normal Human who was infected with Cursed Werewolf blood, hence he became a Magical Werewolf. As Hollywierd has long shown, such creatures transform rather than shift, even though the transformation looks like a shift onscreen. What's the difference? Van Helsing wasn't the first to kee...

Re: Depression thread
I'd like to talk about a sadness that has just come up for me. I have a three-year old cat named Squeaky at the vet's. She's sick, and today I found out just how sick she is. She has a persisting anemia that got better after a transfusion, then it got bad again the day afterwards. Her kidneys are fa...

Sorry, but slim comforts here: You will continue to screw up as long as you continue to try ...anything. Stop trying and you'll stop screwing up (other than wasting your whole life). As for losing friends... you lost acquaintances , not friends. Real friends are like athlete's foot: almost impossibl...

Re: The Werewolf's Guide to Life
Just to play Devil's advocate, I'll point out that in Van Helsing, the werewolf was essentially a magical beastie. Thus when he transformed, the ring was tucked away with his human body in what is called "Magical Cold Storage"- ie; it was a transformation, not a shift. This makes about as ...

My Lupans are a mix of what works best, and as for Pregnancy, I stick with a more human uterus and a modified birth canal. Gestation is ten months, simply because the embryo develops more slowly than in a standard human pregnancy. The embryos stay small, too. A seven month preggers Lupan looks no mo...

Another trick I've used is to put the image into Office and change it from png to jpeg or jpeg 2. The compy does all the work and then things upload just fine...as long as they meet Avvie standards here for size and kb count.

Re: Wolf News
I remember hunting in Idaho years ago before wolves were protected. I paid a good price for a hunt that bagged me a useless animal; full of disease and parasites and completely un-usable for anything. The reason wolves are taking elk is because said elk are most likely sick, old, or otherwise easier...

Re: Help needed about werewolf legends.
The key word you used is "Movies"... Since movies deal with the fantasy aspects of the Werewolf, they get to say how the Shift occurs. Historically, Werewolves could shift at will or at need. They got together when the moon was full because they could see better. The movie industry has mad...

Silverclaw, accept that sad things happen; but please, please, don't pre-load a time that you haven't yet experienced (next year) with such negativity.
You never know what it might attract.
Remember, too, that your feline friends are still alive-in you. As long as you remember them, they still live.

Based on a number of slash-dot "articles" I've read, I've come to the conclusion that: 1> Yellow Journalism is alive and well on the internet. 2> Slash-dot could make the local weather prediction seem like the end of the world. 3> Slash-dot is either a satire blog or it's put out by a grou...

Re: Mounted combat, only with wolves and shapeshifters as mounts
The problem with that Redeye is that you have to stop, if briefly to fire and that gives attackers a window to fire back at you. Armor wont protect you from everything and all it takes one shot. I know they are werewolves but such blows could be of disruption to it, allowing more time for it to be ...

Just whatever you do...DON'T STALK HER!
Maybe it's a psychotic fixation or maybe you don't want to stop thinking about her, regardless of what you say.
Sit down with yourself and keep asking yourself why? until you get an answer you can work with.

Somehow, although this makes good sense, I can't get the concept of Ewoks riding Wookees into battle out of my head. There is something to consider here in the speed department: unless you do some major rewiring of the nerves; signals will travel along them at the same rate without regard to size. T...

You might try Second Life. While the system is general, there are some decent Werewolf RPG setups being offered there, and in just about any style of Werewolf you care to name. Downside: You have to register and get an access-to-cash set up, as well as prove your age. Then you can buy whichever Avat...

If you want a perfect example of Simulacra, try Robert Heinlein. He put himself in every story he wrote. At the end of his life, his last stories had him as the main character (Lazarus Long). And, as per my last post; I've started a treatment with myself as the protagonist and many of my characters ...

It just brings to mind an image of a frantic werewolf trying to find the zipper in his pants...
Or a female Werewolf shambling in agony because she shifted wearing too-tight shoes with four inch heels...
And a male werewolf wondering where his huge keyring and wallet went...
