Re: AB taking another stab (swipe?) at Freeborn!

Welllll... I've been considering building a prototype for halloween in the next year or two (too late for this year). I'd probably do a minotaur though, something blatantly bulky to try out the muscle simulation on so it's easier to work with (yeah yeah, a huge built werewolf would be fun too; decis...

Re: AB taking another stab (swipe?) at Freeborn!

Hah! No, don't let the word "exoskeleton" fool you, or shadow the word that preceded it, "soft". The human body already has a hard skeleton, which the "soft" exoskeleton will use to maintain its shape in the majority of axes, molding itself to the body's contours like a harness, all except for the a...

Re: AB taking another stab (swipe?) at Freeborn!

I guess something projected through one of the car windows maybe, either her head poked out and got pranged a bit too hard by something on the way past, or something entered the vehicle and did her a mischief that way. Who knows, maybe it wasn't that well thought through, and just added as a plausib...

Re: AB taking another stab (swipe?) at Freeborn!

I dunno about "wife", but Jack was going steady a proverbial mate till about 3 or so years before Sherri showed up, that is, until said mate lost here head in a traffic accident (literally). ?? I don't remember any of this! This was in the script AB posted? No, not the '05 script (I did a quick che...

SHERRI ! Argh! That was figuratively killing me. Thanks. Welcome. ...and the lovely lady going to transform is Jack's Wife. Woah, woah, woah... Jack had a wife ? Oh my god, I can't wait to see this thing. I dunno about "wife", but Jack was going steady a proverbial mate mate till about 3 or so year...

Re: AB taking another stab (swipe?) at Freeborn!

Also, definitely girly. But... I'm thinking it's probably not Tasha, but rather what's-her-name... Zane's main squeeze. (Jeez, I can't believe I forgot the character's name. I think it's been, like, a really long time since I read the script). Sherri Frost (I remembered the name, just not how it wa...

Re: AB taking another stab (swipe?) at Freeborn!

"This?... Is a butt." For a moment there I thought it was an exceptionally shapely forequarter! :P . Cue the never moon a werewolf puns. Is it me, or did that butt look a bit girly? Tasha maybe? The extremities are looking pretty good too. Not going as far as to say I'm stoked, but I like it. ...

...would be in asymmptomatic human carriers, who are not werewolves, but who could infect other humans and make them into werewolves. Heh. Although biting with human teeth would be an interesting twist. Skinner: "There's been a development and you two need to get back to Texas. The coroner has been...

But would you not also have successive generations of infected carriers develop a certain tolerance as well? For instance, the mortality rate of smallpox vs. persons of European stock set against the astronomical mortality rate among Native Americans (an isolated group not previously exposed to it)...

Re: love death and robots

Yeah agreed, I just mean the black wolves usually end up getting better aesthetics, like nicer proportions.

I like the way the digitigrade legs have been done, and an overall muscular but light and lean look, like a middle distance runner.

Ahh yes, monotone black/dark grey werewolf are always magically made to look more appealing to look at. :)

This reminds me of the contrasting Van Helsing werewolves, except with better ears. :P

Re: Pure breeds and Bite-ins

Alrighty, let's see if I can pick the bones clean here... 1) In the case of a bite in, you have the host's human genome, and the fully functional werewolf virus genome spliced together. The combination may be called a "pure bite-in" progenitor to what happens next - The bite-in finds another bite-in...

Re: Pure breeds and Bite-ins

That's a curious take on virus potency. If I'm reading this right, it sounds like the bitten human has no immunity to any version of the virus, whereas a bred werewolf is born immune to a stagnant virus strain. The physiological expression of the virus still occurs in both the bite in and bred bred ...

Re: love death and robots

I think it's probably like you said, the video has a "low budget" feel. It actually reminds me of video game graphics, but then again there's been talk of multi-million dollar budgets for AAA game titles because of all the bells and whistles high end games are expected to have now. This isn't a game...

Re: love death and robots

Well, I just looked it up . This one was done by Blur Studio. Shout out to Tim Miller. The complete Shape-Shifters episode has a 16 minute run time. Deadpool run time is 108 minutes and cost $58 million. Divide 58 by 7 to roughly equate the run times: Somewhere in the ballpark of $8-9 million maybe?...

Re: love death and robots

Agreed, I'd love to see a feature length film done this way. In a few respects that's what I was alluding. Within what is essentially a glorified video game cut scene produced in a good renderer with good assets (ala Tomb Raider graphics of said game review, with their (relatively for a video game) ...

Re: love death and robots

Yeah true, tails would have been nice. I think my peeve is the inconsistent transformation gimicks: One guy's face transforms straight into a wolf with no apparent skin peeling; another transforms and rips the human facial skin off to reveal the wolf face beneath just for the sake of looking badass....

Huh, the name rings a bell, but I've actually no idea. Is this a netflix thing? (don't mind El Luddite over here, I haven't had a TV for 19 years, netflix scares me okay? Wikipedia says there's a planned third film as well. I guess once you've built a team for an initial production, it can be hard to let go.

With respect, the internet isn't useless. You just need to know how to use it, and what to use it for. You had dreams? There are dream interpretation oriented sites. You have odd sightings in the bath etc? There are sites pertaining to everything from ghosts to astral beings. On a side note, it migh...
