Okay, sorry then. I just wasn't sure, because you used the word "we" for werewolves in other postings and didn't give a hint, whether you were serious or not. MoonKit, I know, what you mean. It's nearly like every evil is just there to destroy Christianity and not the whole world. Or like ...

The guy above me: leave your webcam running during your next transformation to record it and show some proof. Or be called roleplayer. As for the question, if werewolves should howl alone: Howling is not equal to crying, or anything else one does for himself alone out of an emotional state. It's a w...

LOL! Sorry, on German boards and German chatrooms it only has one meaning: *g* is a grin and *gg* a wide grin.
Maybe I should stick to the emoticons here, since they are just awesome :D

Well, Hollywood formed the idea of the half-human-half-wolf, as far as I know. And if it didn't, than at least it promoted it. We all know the reasons for this ;) So I'd say, 50% of my opinion has been shaped by Hollywood. The mass of anthropomorphic (furry) so-called art shaped another good portion...

Look at the top of the page. Under the banner. There are the buttons for "Logout", "Profile", a few others and one with the label "Search" ;) EDIT: The hunched version makes only sense, when the body is not just a furry, muscular human type. But since it is most times, ...

P-shift like physical shift or like phantom shift? I can neither *gg* And I am so rude to say, that full body shifts are impossible, no matter, what others say. If the opposite is true, I expect a video on youtube :D But a question about the fur colour: why should it be based on the skin color? Afte...

Okay, with such a view of a werewolf, it works perfect. But with the idea of a halfwolf combining and blending features of human and wolf, it doesn't make much sense, that it creates entirely new body parts. It could do it, if the halfwolf was a species on its own. But when we see it as a transforma...

Sorry for being an a**, but those dinosaurs were the ancestors of the birds, not the mammals. That's why I'm still not happy with it.

As much as I like the idea -and I really like it very much-, I don't know, how a human's collarbone can become a wishbone during the transformation to a wolf. Becaus as far as I know (and that's not very much, when it comes to biology), only birds have a wishbone.

Okay, my try again: As far as I got it, we pretty much agree, that a halfwolf (No, I won't use the word "Gestalt" :P) is something between a human and a wolf. Okay, it is usually taller than a human, while it should be smaller, but that would ruin the whole horror-creature-thing *gg* But s...

Just an offtopic question: why do you all call it "Gestalt"? It's just the German word for [form, figure, shape, build, stature]. It just really confuses me, because I am German and everytime I read that word, I stumble, because it takes me a while to understand, what it is used for... I h...

That's why I gave the bear as a reference. They walk on all fours, can stand upright and fight this way, they even sit down like like bipeds
Also they don't have a collarbone and, as you can see in the picture, can move their shoulderblades to the back of their ribcage.

Sure it would, but it would also restrict a half-wolf's movement to bipedal only. As far as I understood the bio-mechanics - which is not very much, btw.

From Wikipedia: The clavicle serves several functions: * It serves as a rigid support from which the scapula and free limb are suspended. This arrangement keeps the upper limb away from the thorax so that the arm has maximum range of movement. * Covers the cervicoaxillary canal (passageway between t...

Anatomy nitpicking: Collarbones?

First of all: Hi, I'm new, but too boring to open an "Introductions"-thread *g* The question, that I always ask myself, is, how much human and how much wolf should a half-wolf be? Most anthro pictures (I guess about 99%) are nothing more than a furry human body with paws and an animal's he...
