Re: Two questions... [Safehouses and werewolf training]
As for the first question, you pretty much listed all of the main things. When I was taken on, it was more about understanding myself at first. I got some history here and there; supposed origin stories and such to introduce me to the culture. Once one understands their nature and that they are not ...

Re: How would a werewolf tell others he's a were? How would you?
Why would it be a really bad idea? Honestly, there are countless people out there who don't care, and many people who are fully accepting of it. It's not as big of a problem as people suggest it is. Yes, back in the day, if anyone even hinted at being a werewolf, you could be killed because the peop...

Re: Fighting Stereotypes...
You could probably start by handing them Curt Siodmak's screenplay for The Wolf Man (1941) and say "Nothing in here is true". Or you could just say "pretty much everything in movies, books, and old historical accounts is false". Usually, when people ask me to talk to them about w...

Re: Do You Ever Dream About Werewolves?
Those dreams sound really interesting. It's hard to interpret them because, honestly, you are the most capable person when it comes to finding meaning in your dreams. I don't know how strange a question this is on a board like this, but have you considered the possibility that you might be a werewol...

Re: Oh-Oh! The Newly Bitten
I know this is supposed to be for fun, but I can't even really think of something clever to say. Even toying with the idea of transference through bite, in my opinion, only encourages the idea. And, as a result, I get more requests to "change" someone.

Re: The werewolf as superhero
Yeah, someone mentioned The Astounding Wolf-Man by Robert Kirkman, also I have the Captain America Man & Wolf comic, which is kind of a werewolf superhero story. Honestly, it would be cool to see a big budget movie with a werewolf superhero, and especially one where all of the crap like full moo...

Re: Half-werewolves
Yeah, the concept doesn't make a lot of sense, even for a fictional story. If you mean anthropomorphic wolves, then that is one thing. That is still considered a werewolf because it is, by definition, human and wolf simultaneously. A werewolf is not solely someone who transforms from a human to a wo...

Re: What will you do...?
I would judge them as an individual based on the unique circumstances. I would not assume that they are violent, because (last time I checked) that is kind of frowned upon in human society.

Re: Would you Willingly turn someone?
Someone said "not if it was against their will". I do not disagree with that at all. However, there are so many people out there who want to be "turned" or "changed" that it's ridiculous. I probably get requests to "turn" someone almost once a month. It gets r...

Re: How rare are werewolves?
For personal reasons, I prefer to ask the question "How many werewolves are there?" Regardless of phrasing, it is still a good question. There are packs, I know that, although I'm not familiar with any wild packs. There may be a few that exist, but with the spread of modernization, avoidin...

Re: Why silver?
A lot of people have already mentioned the whole "holy" metal concept, which is true. Someone also mentioned The Beast of Gevaudan, which is probably the most popular example. It really has no significant history. The closest concepts are things like the idea of throwing iron over a werewo...

Re: The ultimate question... FRESH OR COOKED?!
At this point in time, it seems like more people would tend towards cooked meat, not as a matter of preference but as a result of thousands of years of exposure. Humans and those wolves who would go on to become domesticated ate cooked meat. The theory is that cooking the meat made it easier to chew...
