Re: A beautiful werewolf?
*nods* I haven't even gone that far; I don't have reveals at all. The werewolves (and vampires) have noticed patterns in the (for lack of a better word) virus's behavior, and based on those patterns, some of them have their own theories. But they don't actually know anything for a fact; everything i...

Re: Which animal totem best suits you?
You are the Deer. You tend to be very gentle with other animals of your domain and are also considered the innocent one, which is a good thing. You tend to be able to perceive more than others, which is a handy skill. Deer 92% Salmon 83% Crow 83% Dragon 67% Eagle 67% Dog 58% Fox 58% Bull 58% Ram 50...

Re: Wolf Children
I hardly see anything "traditional" to the idea of a "traditional werewolf story" to begin with. A story is a story, and a werewolf just happens to be a character with a pretty rich personal history. That said, it's lamentable just how valid your point is about this potentially ...

Re: When did the idea of non evil werewolves come from?
I mean, there is no precedent for the non-evil, non-cursed werewolf in mythology. The good ones are usually under some curse, so where did the idea of the non-cursed, non-evil werewolf come from? Probably from wondering where the idea of cursed and/or evil werewolves came from and realize it made j...

Re: Wolf Children
Well. . . It's Japanese animation, so I wasn't really expecting it to be a traditional werewolf story to begin with. Actually, it's a lot closer to what I would have expected from anime. Japanese folklore and media more often involves animals that can appear human than humans turning into animals (W...

Re: A beautiful werewolf?
I'd take the statement to mean "magic" as in "mysterious wonder", not "I cast a spell". Not to get too far off on a tangent, but magic is supposed to exemplify the mystery and unknown. Spells (and curses and such) were tied up with the term magic because they were some...

Re: Would you Willingly turn someone?
Even for those people who want to be changed into a werewolf, there are a great deal of things to consider. Right now we are speculating on what it would be like to be a werewolf. I personally have no idea what it is like to change, but must assume it will be extremely painful. The idea that you mi...

Re: A beautiful werewolf?
This is not a Furry thing, nor is it about being a "Wolfaboo", this is about wanting something that returns us to the awe we should have for the world, for the magical, for the mysterious in life that leaves us tingling but a little bit terrified, for something that makes us long even har...

They gave Freeborn, Camp Lycanthrope , and Hour of Darkness the run-around but are making fraking this!?! I'm surprised you're surprised about this. Forgetting the fact that all of those works you've mentioned have their own... issues , which I can't be bothered debating about specifically, for fea...

Jeez, Terastas. They made Battleship: The Movie, and this gets you to blow chunks? More so than Battleship , not just because this is a horrible idea, but because this is a horrible idea THAT'S BEEN TRIED ONCE ALREADY . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otqf_v1rHYE See, that formula that you mentioned...

Re: Pure breeds and Bite-ins
They'd probably both have their pros and cons. Which would be numerous, but the difference in a nutshell would be that turned werewolves would be a greater risk of exposure for biological reasons whereas born werewolves would pose a greater risk for emotional reasons. We've already talked at length ...

Interesting you mention gurgling, I've been toying with the idea of having fluid build up in areas of structure formation, for example on the face, the upper lip and nose would become swollen and balloon out, materials would be deposited from the fluid, then the fluid would disperse and the skin al...

Re: What have you always wanted to see in a transformation s
I prefer a more biologically sound approach, one that implies that the body can do this repreatedly, as opposed to ripping up the human form and getting rid of it, as cathartic as such might feel. Same here. Though I balance it out a bit with the assumption that, while the body is conditioned to do...

Re: YouTube Film Festival
I wouldn't submit anything Freeborn-related to something like this, but a halfway decent short could generate name recognition for anyone who participates, which could in turn translate into interest in the Pack and Freeborn again. At the very least, it's something worth taking into consideration.

Re: What problems would being a werewolf cause?
Okay... small question... Would some werewolves want to figure out how they are werewolves to the point they'd become scientists and start studying their brethren in your world? True. But easier said than done. Most werewolves consider themselves lucky to have a physician to help them fudge on thei...

If they're not immortal, what about old age? Or does their regeneration make it sorta like wolverine, that he can live a long time without aging? I'm also thinking about diseases that affect the nervous system... wow, that is a big downside isn't it? Ouch... That's the general idea. Lycanthropy has...

Even more sad that when you consider that the moth was set aside for it because, before then, it wasn't being done at all.WerewolfKeeper3 wrote:is it sad we only hear about the achievements of anyone of a different race during specific months, and not, say on the date they did what they did?

Just so you know, this is all based on what I've written of the werewolves in Inhuman . Which derived a lot of inspiration from input at the Pack, but which may or may not reflect the opinions of the Pack as a whole. ----- #1: Dehydration The first thing that develops after infection is an overactiv...

Re: Okay people how do we get these forums back up to speed?
I think what we really need is for one of our own pet projects to show some serious signs of life. The Pack reached its peak when it genuinely looked like Freeborn could enter production within a year or two, and as soon as it became apparent that such was not the case, everything gradually came to ...

@Terestas,But you are from a family who has been in America for generations, but say you are Scottish, yet don't see Jeremy Lin as Chinese even though almost every citizen in Taiwan are direct descendants of China. Re: Claiming Nationality/Ethnicity.
Something worth keeping in mind is that the only people who are actually ethnically American are the Native Americans. Everyone else has roots from across the ocean. That said, I will agree with you that there is a difference between saying "I'm Scottish" (which I am) and "I'm from Sc...
