Re: Site Direction
Given the age of this site, I'm straight astonished it's still here at all. Most likely many members have forgotten that this site even existed-- I know I haven't posted anything in years. That said, it would not be a bad thing if it became active again, though you'd probably have to do outreach to ...

Thinking about selling some art-- want to know who would buy
Hey, I'm thinking about starting to work with and sell painted pictures which are designs that are repositionable glass paints. They are brightly colored, transparent, and will stick to and are removeable from any nonporous smooth surface. Who would buy them? I'm thinking, if I do them, they'd be so...

Fleas! (A question)
So my cute kitty cat has them. We have ways to get them off of him, and we've taken care of the house and cloth and such. But I think they jumped on me. I've been finding too many in my vicinity over the last week for it to be coincidence! We just treated the house today; i'm going to give my hair a...

Expansion of Ideas
Here's a new topic: I work for my local library system, and among my tasks is processing new books. We had a shipment of Urban Fantasy books in. Now, here's the thing. I went through at least 70 books and by far, the universes went, "Werewolf, vampire, werewolf, fae, vampire, werewolf, vampire,...

Re: What to do with a human who knows too much?
Probably the sliding scale of "oh, damn, we've been found." Depends. How much of "too much" does he or she know? Smaller amounts of knowledge are easy to dismiss... too much and you'll have to ensure their silence or come out about it. Silence is probably easiest to convert them ...

Bah. It went from 1-50 when I joined, I know. And that was quite a while back.
I like to think here that once you've gotten fifty posts you're basically accepted as a member... after which post count becomes steadily less important. Perhaps post count shouldn't even be visible outside the profile.

Yes, because we are surprised that Duke Nukem Forever isn't coming out... It's been in development hell for years.
Interesting that someone finally put it out of its misery, though.

Re: Hair
I have long hair, but for me it's more like a scraggly mane of frizz and wavyness. It's actually in between "frizzy so it poofs out" and "curly and nice" but just at that point where no matter what I do it looks like I haven't combed it. Being a girl, this means I have more'n eno...

Re: Furs,Therian,Otherkin,WereWolves, Shamans, Mythology etc?
Yesh, but slowly. I think if we ever get "werewolves" it won't be a 5-minute shift... it'll be a semi-permanent state. Maybe change-back-able, but something like hormone treatments, for a loose analogy, that would take something like months to shift from one to the other.

Re: Furs,Therian,Otherkin,WereWolves, Shamans, Mythology etc?
I'm saying that it's highly unlikely but not impossible. I suppose I should repeat that I'm ignoring things like Magic, which science would have a hard time "explaining". Because it's not built to. If you postulate magic, then my argument no longer works. I agree with you. I read Dawkins' ...

Re: Furs,Therian,Otherkin,WereWolves, Shamans, Mythology etc?
I can see plainly my statement didn't make it across. I'll try to paraphrase this time. Science is not infalliable. Saying that something is "impossible" as in "can never ever happen, ever, ever, evereverver" is wrong. Saying that something is "impossible" as in "T...

Re: Furs,Therian,Otherkin,WereWolves, Shamans, Mythology etc?
That wasn't aimed at you, but we happen to agree. As I said, just because it's possible for me to teleport spontaneously, doesn't mean it will happen. It would happen once in a time span longer than the age of the universe! :D Sure, it's possible, but I call it impossible, for one simple reason: it'...

I'm in a bit of an odd situation here, so first I'll quote what I responded as in the poll on DA and then continue on. "Hmm. See, I don't know what to classify myself as. Genetically, human of course. As much as everyone else. Bodily? Human there too. I don't P-Shift nor do I think it's possibl...

On topic, I think there's probably very few women here who would classify themselves under the "Oooh makeup" category. Mainly because I doubt anyone has that few facets.

Fig, we love you. Have a duckie. ::duckie *puts on hard hat* Well, last time I check, I was lacking anatomical parts that would classify me as male, so... Female here. This is a topic of curiosity here. I have to say I definitely identify myself as female but decidedly not in the gender-role of soci...

Re: Pruning the number of Emotes
If we could have personal smilies, that'd be great. If you consider that they're all .gif files and not too many people have their own entire set, it shouldn't take up too much space. Is it possible to have individual smilie packs? I figure even something like using your name abbreviation and then t...

I watched this last week, with the Rifftrax. Said Rifftrax was the only thing that kept me from putting myself into a coma. Worst movie of the year, easily. I was only going to touch this thing with a rifftrax along to keep me sane. I heard the "reveal," though, ad it really sounds like C...

Re: If not freeborn, or building the ultimate werewolf...
I like the idea of non-wereWOLF things. I mean, wolves are nice and fuzzy, but so are cats, you know? And for that matter, let's let in the rest of the werekin, too. At the very least, we should have a forum for the most popular non-wolf shifters, like bears, lions, tigers, etc, or maybe general gro...
