Body Language

For wolves, body language is very important and I was wondering, would body language be just as important to werewolves as it is for wolves, since humans generally don't use body language as a way to communicate? (I hope no one has posted a topic like this already, I searched for it, but couldn't fi...

Werewolf Movie Site

I always use this site to check and see what werewolf movies/tv shows could be coming out in the future, and I just thought for people who don't know about it, would enjoy it. :howl: :oo

Re: Twilight the Movie-Your Reviews!

*clicks the link and blows chunks (just like John Belushi's zit impression)* Good god, it looks like one of the werewolves from Buffy the Vampire Slayer on the CW. :P Hey, wait. . . That's exactly what Twilight is! It's a crappy CW vampire-themed teen drama on the big screen! I think the CW is actu...

Re: Werewolf Cults

Ah, I was totally joking around. Me personally, I'd rather be a werewolf than have vampires swooning over me... but then again, I've also never read Twilight , either. Please don't read Twilight. It's some of the worst literature that I've ever read before. Well, if you do read it, then you can act...

Re: Werewolf Cults

It could be fairly possible for a newly turned werewolf to become brainwashed and to become part of a cult. Especially if the cult is aimed at a specific factor. Ever heard of the term "group polarization"? Basically, this is when a bunch of people (in this example, werewolves) gather into...

Re: Emotional Healing

I wouldn't necessarily think that werewolves could get over guilt, death of a loved one, etc faster than humans. I mean, everyone has their own reaction to certain things and because of that, they would be able to get over events at different rates than others. So, basically, just depends on the per...

Re: Why more males than females?

I suppose that if a female werewolf were to change into a half wolf/half human (in my opinion) she should have breasts. I mean, you could then clearly tell the females apart from the males and it would seem more realistic to me. Come to think of it (I don't know if someone has mentioned this already...

Re: Genes and Shifting

The emotional behavior and arrangement of water molecules, as featured in the documentary movie What the Bleep Do We Know? , is controversial and strange, but it may be a bit of a stretch to say it can itself turn a person into a wolf. Still, it's an area where science is still sorting the details ...

Why more males than females?

In most werewolves novels and/or movies, there seems to be a vast number of male werewolves, but females werewolves are highly uncommon. I was wondering if this had something to do with the fact that the werewolf gene could be sex linked and that sex linked diseases are much more common in males tha...

Genes and Shifting

Do you think, in order for a were to change that a gene would need to be turned on--and that would enable the shift from human to another animal? Most authors of were's (or just regular people) say that adrenaline is a big factor of the Change. Well, I was thinking, that the chemical reaction (adren...

For me, I would say smart, like most people have already said. It really just depends on the person though. If you're smart in your human form, then why can't you be smart in your wolf form?

Werewolves and Mental Health Problems

I was wondering if werewolves would be susceptible mental disorders? Like... schizophrenia, ADD, etc.
Just kinda thought of it since people always ask about werewolves and getting sick.
I hope I haven't repeated someone elses topic. Please tell me if I have.

Re: Should a werewolf be able to scale walls?

I know this is off topic, but how do people run up a wall for a few seconds and then are able to do a back flip? I've tried it once, but I wasn't successful at all. I've always thought that it would cool to do. I've seen one guy do it once... though it was inside and there were a bunch of desks arou...

I have some books that I read... well, one I think. But it had the werewolf only take the heart and it never explained why werewolves would take the heart. But I guess there really isn't an exact reason.

Re: Beowulf - a werewolf?

people back then always thought that werewolves were from the devil. Some people, but not all. Beowulf was a pre-Christian poem transcribed later with Christian elements.[/quote] That is true, since Beowulf was passed down orally, and things were added. Oh, and Fenrisz, most of the swords back then...

Re: Beowulf - a werewolf?

Beowulf, was not a werewolf, as I recall. Actually, if anyone was possible to be a werewolf in Beowulf, it would be Grendel. I mean, think about it, in the story, it says that he was immune to metal (basically swords and other weapons couldn't kill or hurt him) and he would always attack at night, a...

Heart

I'm sorry if someone else has made a topic like this, but I did a quick search and didn't find anything. I've heard that in classic werewolf lore, that werewolves attacked humans and only ate the human's heart. I want to know why this would happen, why would a werewolf only take a humans heart? (I k...

Re: Should a werewolf be able to scale walls?

Well, since werewolves are supposedly stronger than humans, I would say not so much of an epic jump, but being able to jump a fair height would be possible. And the fact for scaling walls... the Spiderman kinda of scale, most likely not. But maybe if their clawes were strong enough to go into concre...

You are saying that if the werewolf were to fight tigers, lions, etc, that the werewolf would be in his or her's wolf form, correct? If that is the case, then I would say it would depend on how strong and how good of a fighter a werewolf is. It might also depend on the size of the werewolf in human ...
