Re: JUST red meat?
...then considering they're still partly human... That's just it. The majority of werewolf stories depict the "cursed" as losing their humanity once changed. In losing that humanity, it appears that most writers toss away the "partly human" aspect as well. A werewolf, in the maj...

Re: Are we too much focusing on realism?
. Realism is part of Freeborn's foundation. The point is to make werewolves as believable as possible. Without the level of realism that forum members have gone to in order to scientifically and logically explain the existence of werewolves, Freeborn would be just another werewolf tale. It just make...

Re: Clothes
...he will claim he saw guy in werewolf costume wearing a pants ? The average person would most likely say something just like that. Perhaps looks at it as a very elaborate fur suit, and an eerily realistic looking one at that. Hmm, that poses a question, are there weres that go to furry convention...

Re: A Moral Dilemma
If the idea is to keep the time they are held against their will as short as possible, why so much evading around the question? Wouldn't it be better to just come right out with it instead of expecting her to stay for two or three days without any answers? If you want her to comply, she needs to he...

Re: A Moral Dilemma
Dilemma.. holding someone against their will.. at least until they can explain to her what's going on.. What would you do? let her go without explaining? or hold her against her will until she knows the truth. What I would, and would not do. Put yourself in her place. You are attacked by a wolf and...

Both completely autonomous in their actions. The idea is to send them out in combat conditions.

Re: Clothes
Ah, stretchy pants, I only wear jeans and a cotton shirt, so the idea of stretchy clothing didn't even cross my mind (should have, though). There's no stretchy shoes, but what about shirts?

Re: Clothes
The tail problem for wearing pants or shorts can be solved with a knife. But Lovec, why would pants not tear as a shirt would? Surely if the shirt tears because of general increased mass, pants would also tear. Perhaps your Werewolves don't gain any lower body mass?

Re: Powers in Human Form
speed: you can run faster than normal human but slower than athlete but you can run longer than athlete. Sorry, but what if one is an athlete? By your perception of speed, an athelete, when bitten, would become slower than themselves. Also, if one is to gain both strength and stamina, they would na...

Whenever I'm on a Springsteen kick, this is always a favorite. A couple of simple, yet very fitting solos in this one. Excellent saxophone and organ in there as well.

The Introduction
I probably should have done this first. Optional as it may be, I am commencing an experiment here and now (not your now, my now). I should have been here years ago, but I'll have to make due with what has already been done. So, without further ado*, I am me. If this does not show up in the next coup...

Re: They're canines not felines
Wolves and other canines have claws but they're not razor sharp weapons like we see so often in movies. Canine claws are thick and dull due to the fact that they're not retractable like feline claws so they're constantly being worn down with every step they take. Canine claws are used more like spi...

Re: Poisons (and other topics)
The way I've always seen werewolf traits and such is they attain the best of both the human and wolf, and negative traits, which are natural to each, are cancelled out if one is better than the other. For instance, if a werewolf were to consume chocolate, regardless of what form one happens to be in...

Re: Rejected!
Those cartoons would look quite at home on the late-night Adult Swim time of Comedy Central. Not as a show, of course, but rather as skits* to be used after commercial breaks.
* "skit" Is that the correct word for short animated segements?

Re: Clothes
Stashing away extra clothes... that can work. then again, they can also backfire - they can be found by homeless folks, torn up by animals as bedding/nest material, infested by insects... Would one really be so careless as to simply leave clothes hidden under a rock or in a crevice of sorts? Surely...
