Acting on instinct isn't irrational, it is acting on what needs to be done.
Instinct compells us to seek out things liek shelter and food. It compells a wolf (or any predator) to hunt as a means to aquire food and survive. It is in no way irrational, but essential.

Ugh, I'm always digusted by the concept of garou as cursed or evil, or in any way bad.

I consider humanity the evil thing, a force of nueroses and selfishness.
Consider that perhaps for werewolves, humanity is the curse, and source of turmoil.

To me, one wolf life is worth millions of human lives.
So many take and take and take, consuming and ruining wildlife habitat with no consideration for anything but there own worthless, pointless, insignifigant lives.

If i could, i would kill entire cities and states just the smallest of packs ...

I find wolves quite beautiful as they are, but human breasts (on females only) are one of the few things of value to me concerning the human species (artistic expression and opiates being the other things). I often wonder if I'm completely gay but then noticing breasts make me realize "No, still ...

Claws are claws. I'm pretty sure all animals in order carnivora have claws capable of rending flesh to some degree from sharing an evolutionary path. Wolves and dogs though simply aren't desxtrous enough to use them on prey, but they can still tear at things when they need to.

I think whatever form i take, my cat would always know me. Such bonds can be strong.

If one's soul is wolf, i would call that thier true form.
But then anything else to me is just a worthless sack of meat and/or prey.

I guess this may fit the alternative origin.

I have been working on a story in which a werewolf is someone with a wolf soul, but is trapped in human form.

In order to release the wolf, and take wolven form, they must kill the human, literally. A ceremonial suicide leads to rebirth and ...

There are things we want, and things we need.

We don't need all we have, in general. It pollutes us.
Maybe a person doesn't want out, but they need out.

I wish so much i could see such phenomonah as described on that page. I've heard of that ranch before, sadly it seems the group that owns the property is a little shady and sinisters from some sources. Too few of thier findings have gone public.

Is there anyone else so disgusted by humanity, and enamoured with wolves that they woudl go that route? Permenent wolf form?

Would our protagonists in freeborn do such?

We seem to established that growling while hunting is a no no.

Our werewolves likely have enough intelligence for language, though human like speach seem awkward at best.

I would assume the vocal and body language cues of actual wolves would suffice most of the time, with rather stressed english ...

Glad to hear so many of those stupid things won't be present in freeborn. It looks like all the bases have been covered.

If the werwolves of freeborn are acting like actual wolves, we should all be very happy.

The existence of the human race already angers me, so any human i encoutnered in such a form would probably already be set to die.

The point, humans piss off a werewolf.

Would a one time permenant change negate those various inconsitincies?

Maybe it would have to be more gradual, but is it scientficaly feasible?

The only course that I have ever felt does proper credit to wolves is lycanthropy as a realisization of one's true soul or character.
No curse, no virus, no mutation.

A virus? A curse? I always like dot think of it as a blessing, or heritage.

Being human is the curse. Consider that, and you will see what many therianthropes think.
