Re: Second Life mega-thread!

I like the idea of this. Seems interest in Second Life here has a kind of "bio-rhythm" to it. Sometimes no one is interested, then a few topics appear up talking about it, then once things are said and done, the topics fade out. Even faster is when certain Pack groups are disbanded, member...

Re: World of Warcraft... playable werewolves?!

I heard this about a week ago from a friend who plays WoW. The preview page was a real pleasant surprise. They may lack tails, but the general design of their models definitely impresses me compared to typical mainstream portrayal. Assuming the current time has the Worgen considered "an evil ra...

Re: Coop Series #1: Diablo II & Lord of Destruction Expansion

Hey this looks interesting. Shame I didn't notice your suggestion about playing D2 and subsequently this topic earlier. I read through the topic and I like how you mention casual play and not totally breaking the playthrough of the game by trading between lower and higher accounts or leaving slightl...

Re: Recent group in Second Life (main Grid)

Kaebora's group has closed enrollment since it's meant just for Pack members (probably hence why it's labeled "The Pack" rather than just "general werewolf fans"). It's not hard to join; if someone wants to join, they can just send him a quick IM on these boards containing their ...

I joined your group yesterday, so you should be able to see me listed now.

Re: Recent group in Second Life (main Grid)

I'm not too active on SL and I already have collected over a dozen groups just for notices and avatar announcements. People who actually buy/sell items, are involved in or manage activity-specific groups (such as a popular RP), or own and manage land/entire sims often have to deliberate over which g...

Re: Recent group in Second Life (main Grid)

More werewolf groups is always nice, although I remember Kaebora making a group for Pack members specifically some time ago, which is still running now. Oh well; people could always join both. :D
Assuming the 25 group limit hasn't hit them yet. :P

Re: Apparently we aren't trying to give a different approach...

I like the sound of this. If it is actually true, then we're not trying to adjust the image to fit how certain werewolf fans want it (not that I mind), but actually restoring an image forgotten for hundreds of years! :howl: :oo All the more reason to pursue what we have been doing for years. Now we ...

Re: TES III: Morrowind Recommended Mods DVDs for free!

Oh yes, forgot to comment about SL. Second Life would be pretty good for werewolf fans, even if people need to have decent hardware to handle such a large world. Currently, the Pack's group has about a dozen members. Someone could ask the group if anyone would be interested in helping out create thi...

Re: TES III: Morrowind Recommended Mods DVDs for free!

I wonder how many Packsters would play in a MMORPG that let you play things like Werewolves, Vampires, and other "Monsters" in a manner counter to the usual restrictions on character/alignment/class/cussedness. What's described here is exactly what I'd love to see in an RPG (especially an...

Re: And now for something completely different!

Very interesting topic and replies. One thing I need to mention though. While I understand about the legal issues of disrupting a trap, I noticed some said trappers were slowly switching to cage traps. While a helpless animal caught with their leg crushed in a trap is heart-wrenching to see, I don't...

Well I quit (simply stopped coming back) about half a year ago. I remember the player market area, the graphical changes (rather, just updated and more detailed static images), and the addition of quests.

Re: Underworld copycat?

I used to "play" Bitefight (wouldn't really call it playing in the usual meaning). I think there may still be a topic on this in the VG sub-forum in fact. Anyway, it just seems like a typical werewolf vs. vampire game to me. They've always been pitted against each other since the early mov...

Ooh, this thread caught my interest. :o I haven't really tried purposely establishing a feeling of connection yet. It's something I'm curious to learn more about though. Modern spiritual discovery and connection is a thing I'm slowly looking into. Posts such as Vrikasatma's vision in the Jingle talk...

Re: The Evil That Is Black Friday

It's really upsetting to hear about a story like this. Black Friday is a day known for its early store openings and crowds/lines, but a death resulting from this is just ridiculous. Even worse is the shoppers who didn't care after being told to leave. It's good that some of the cameras may have caug...

Re: A new werewolf figure

It's hard to tell from Fig's link how much of a tail the wolf has, but it's definitely one of the better werewolf depictions I've seen (any medium). He even has visible wolf eyes :o
Glowing eyes in a theme such as this typically depict an evil creature, with no pupils to see into/relate to.

To be honest, I think some companies are taking Werewolf stuff mainstream without any supporting concepts, background or context, and at best, ruining their own creations. Let him be a hedgehog! 2-D would probably be a good place to start for our first werewolf game. Going right to 3-D would probably be a bit of a jump for a first group effort, since it would require a lot more work instead of just general side-scrolling simplicity. And a mod of an existing commercial game would mean that a...

Yeah. I was glad to see him in the game. When I give the game a shot for the first time, I'm going to try and see Wolf become my primary. I'm not that much into the SSB series, but some of the hype from their latest game seems to have rubbed off on me. I like Wolf's taunts too. What's interest...
