Female werewolves, while pregnant, should avoid changing form. The fetus is very sensitive to antibodies that the mother produces, and there are some cases where the fetus dies due to the mother having an allergenic response to the fetus. The placental membrane filters most of the mother's antibodi...

Well, then, Mr Lycos, what do you recommend that ReQuest do for special effects, aside from avoiding all computer graphics like plague-stricken lepers who are ringed with grenades?

Theres no such thing as "Good CG" I strongly disagree with your comment, as the CG in Jurassic Park was superb. Apparently, not too many people seemed to notice that most of the dinosaurs in the movie were CG. Besides, if we were to deny ReQuest Studios the option of CG, then, what other ...

It's better that he be neutered at the vet, than at home ala a "do-it-yourself" kit.

You know... As strange and off-topic as the whole notion of a werewolf as a pet might be... The scarriest part of all is that I can actually picture it. Well... More precisely, I can picture a girl with a cub or a werewolf boyfriend and treating him like a pet; petting, cuddling, face-lickin...

In another thread, I suggested that lycanthropy doesn't cure diseases; it just continuously repairs the damage caused by them. The example I used was AIDS, which is thought uncurable as we haven't even identified the virus yet; all we've learned to recognize is the T-cell defficiency associated wit...

The Catholic Church back in the 16th century actually hired vampire hunters as well as werewolf hunters ,back in the dark days where anyone could be a heretic. So yeah why not. Horray, we're back on topic. I swear, if anyone mentions lycan gumbo again I'll *inaudiable snarling.* Anyway, when I thou...

Even cancer that is genetic is still treated by the body as a virus, so assuming lycanthropy enhances the body's white blood cells, cancer would be treatable by lycanthropy. Sorry to get technical, but, the immune system treats cancer cells (whether the cancer is due to genetic disorder or from exp...

And yes, I think we're all waiting for a movie where the werewolf(s) die and the survivors all smile and walk. That and showing the monster in the morgue and his eyes pop open; those are both great ways to ruin a good horror movie. What about when the werewolf(s) dies, and the survivors all smile a...

Three things: First: I don't think it's been said yet, so I'll say it (I know, ha ha). Studies have long shown that 70% of communication between humans is non verbal. We who have the most highly developed oral ability of all the creatures on this planet - only use it for 30% of our communicaiton. S...

That almost seems a bit too well organized if you ask me. Something that should be kept in mind, is that even though werewolves in this setting do keep thier conscious minds more or less, they're still subject to wolf instincts and in many cases are living in close proximity with humans. Considerin...

I understand the cheesy idea of "needing to fortify the bloodline," but I don't find the other extreme to be very palatable, either.
I mean, if all the werewolves take so much pains to avoid infecting people, where would our movie be if no one gets infected?
