Re: Obama Won!
I mostly agree with you there, Matt. There are some policies out there that make it easier to slack off in poverty. I have friends that are still doing it with Social Security, and it does make me feel bitter that they wont better themselves and make a living. However, I have read (in my company's l...

Re: Obama Won!
Lets not have any more personal attacks. I don't mind some finely detailed debating as long as it stays friendly. We all went into this politcal race with ignorance, but with some conversation and reading, anyone can have a carefully decided opinion that wont cause more painfully violent reading. Ba...

Re: More moderators needed?
I think that as long as we have enough moderators that the boards are checked once or twice a day, it should be enough. I'd definately feel more at ease too.

Most voters didn't see it coming, so blame someone else please. No offense, but are you sure you just didn't want to see it coming? Bush and Cheney were talking about making it illegal to speak against the government way back in 2002 -- seemed pretty obvious what would happen from where I was watch...

Re: More moderators needed?
There are admins that have been absent for half a year or more. I think that would be considered excessive. Of course we can keep Mr. Brownrigg on as an admin. He's the founder after all.

I know I'm gonna be flamed for this but i don't care!! Obama winning the election is nothing to be excited about. The people he allied with and/or associated him self with freaking scares me like the domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, and the racist reverend of his. His socialist agenda is gonna destro...

Re: More moderators needed?
On a side note, and extending from Baphnedia's idea, I think we should have board-specific mods, because then we can make a lot of people happy without giving too much power to a small group too soon. There seems to be a lot of people that deserve to be moderators, but some may be more suited for c...

Re: Gamer Contraband (Games Banned in this and other countries)
It must be infuriating that Aussies have to deal with that. Well, on the brighter side, they can just mod their system and download the games off the internet. Then, BOOM! You own contraband!

Re: More moderators needed?
What I think makes a good moderator encompasses traits that can effecitvely combat elitism. - Fair non-biased sense of judgement with no favoritism. - Never using admin abilities for pratical jokes or personal revenge on members. Only to enforce rules. - Mature, level-headed/ down to earth, and rare...

Re: The worst people on-line
Some games make me so frustrated that I could end up being one of the whiners, which for me means I don't play those games. This includes any games related to Racing, Guitar Hero, DDR, arcade style shooters, and most MMORPGs where Player-Killing is allowed. I typically stick to social MMOs, simulato...

Re: Food Alert: Melamine found in Candy
We don't really know, but here's the difference: Melamine contamination in chinese milk products was killing thousands of Chinese babies per month (and found to be the Cause of Death). Food poisoning across the US, last I recall, is only about 9,000 across all age brackets. The official story says ...

Re: Food Alert: Melamine found in Candy
Melamine is also a metabolite of cyromazine, a pesticide. It is formed in the body of mammals who have ingested cyromazine. Cows that eat feed that was treated with cyromazine can develop the chemical in their bloodstream, and even in their milk. Larger animals are less likely to show effects of Mel...

It's a win or lose kind of show. Some episodes are hilarious. Others are just trying too hard and aren't worth a laugh. I never laughed so hard during the farting contest episode. The Flatulence Assisted Rectal Tubing (F.A.R.T.) just took it to a level of funny that floored me. Take a look... ...

The mere fact that people do that to me when I'm away from home from 7am - 5pm at work during the week... means they have 10 hours to do whatever they have to do regarding internet before I get home. Can we get an idea of your general location, state, or city... to decern just how crazy it is? When it snowed three to four feet here in the desert of Albuquerque in 2005, THAT was crazy. It looked like the Siberian wastelands.

Gamer Contraband (Games Banned in this and other countries)
The strange but true fact is that numerous countries ban games for various censorship reasons. Violence, cruelty, sexual content, and even portraying a country as the antagonist can trigger such a ban. Take a look at this list, and lets discuss. List of Banned Video Games One that they failed to lis...

Re: More UWE BOLL madnss!
Games made after movies typically suck. Movies made after games typically suck. Comics made into movies or games typically rocks everyone's socks. Reason? It's a storyboard and a whole mess of concepts all rolled into one. To be honest, Uwe Boll doesn't strike me as the kind of person that would pla...
