Science has many great aspects. In fact, through the product of science you're viewing this post  . It is true that it can not accept anything without proof, but through that method it has been able to dispel many superstitions that range from innocuous to homicidal. You can't say science is wi...

Well... You have to realize that everything on this board is complete and utter guesswork ?? . No one here has claimed to see a werewolf (that I know of) so no one can have the last word. Just don't attack anyone else's ideas and they shouldn't attack yours, ok :D ?

I don't know... I don't have a problem killing other creatures for food; that seems very natural. It's killing other humans that I just can't...I don't know the word. I have a deep revultion to causing other humans pain.

Couldn't keeping a werewolf evil have a negative effect on wolves though? I mean, we tell our children the stories of little red riding hood, the three little pigs, the boy who cried wolf, ext. and may have ingrained a fear of wolves which is hurting their support. I like horror movies, but even if ...

What if... (a werewolf was arrested)

Here's a posible senario. What if a werewolf was arrested and convicted of a crime (doesn't really matter which) and ended up in prison without revealing what he was? From what I've heard there's almost no privacy in a prison, so what would he do when the next full moon rolled around. Just thought i...

And evidence of canine DNA will prompt action against a large preditorial canine. We're talking traps, bait, ext. And while most of these could be avoided by an intelligent werewolf, some traps might work.

One interesting variant I just thought of is a werewolf vigilante--maybe a werewolf serial killer who targets other killers. Goldenwolf's werewolves (I can't remember the name off hand) are basicaly that. They're werewolves whose job is to purge the human race of murdurers, rapests ext. They need t...

"therian shifter" (whatever the heck THAT is...no, really...I have NO idea what it is) Wait, you do know what a regular therian is, right? On the off chance that you don't, I'll give it a try. Therianthropy, in one of it's uses, is what some people see as a spiritual connection to an anim...

We all need to come to a compromise of some kind. I am willing to concede that Werewolves don't absolutely NEED to be such disturbingly frightening creatures, (Though I still prefer it), if it can also be agreed upon that MODERN werewolves don't need to conform strictly to Furry and Therian prefere...

Ooooh, yah! You know Vuldari, you could have saved yourself a lot of trouble if you had made that clearer in your first post (but then, I'm a terrible hypocrite, because I have a terrible time expressing myself accurately and concisely). I know what you mean. One of the best books in the world, Les ...

We don't really care what the neowerewolves are called, so much as we distinguish them from the "clasical" werewolf. And I think that Vuldari used therianthropy because most of the people who want the new werewolf seem to want to take the spiritual connection to the next level into phisica...

But what should the purpose of this forum be then? Will it be only for the traditional werewolf, the therian wolf, or both? Should we completely seperate the theads? ("What should a werewolf be?" and "What should a Therian be?") And what about all the topics we've already discuss...

Hmmm, but we might have a problem with our debates from now on if we split into two groups. One would be trying to describe one kind of shapeshifter while the other would try for a completely different version. I suppose this problem has already existed for a while, which is why you brought it up. E...

Mmmm...As long as I could change back into a human at some point (I wouldn't like being an animal forever) I'd chose wolf! Let's face it: beautiful fur, increadable endurence, sensitive nose, four paws! Everything about the wolf facinates me to the point just short of obsession!

Mmmmm, ya, I can see where you're going with this. Some of the classifications are debatable, but in general I think you did a good job in seperating them into two groups. I actually mentioned something similar in your previous rant, I think. After all, the shapeshifting myths vary significantly fro...

Really? I didn't even know there was a new skin. How do you get it? By the way, the point of the Dialectical Method is to get the most extreme of each side and narrow down to a balance. Your opinion, Vuldari, wasn't the other extreme, in fact after looking at it in more detail it seems like a good s...

Not only that, but it seems unrealistic to me that a werewolf would become evil just because of a bite. Primal instincts, sure that's fine, but the intellegence not to eat humans because they have big guns is something found in even regular wolves, so shouldn't are werewolves be at least that smart?...
