Ouch, direct hit to me. I have to admit that I've occationally had the same thoughts myself, but since they contradicted what I wanted I pushed them away. It's true that werewolves have begun to turn in a new direction away from the "evil" side, ignoring the old myths in favor of what woul...

If I wasn't forced to kill people every full moon then I would totally go for it! Every waking moment of my life is nothing more than a dream of being bitten; who wouldn't want their dream to become a reality? The only thing that would keep me from doing so would be a) I have to eat people b) I have...

Saw trailer! NEED KINGDOM HEARTS 3!!!!! I loved the first two games, and I think I've developed a physical craving for them. I swear that if I haven't matured by the time it comes out that I will have a PS3 and be ready for the release!!! The graphics (admitedly it was a video, so the game can't be ...

Hmmm, I wonder if chruches would be warded against werewolves. If a priest had the power to "cure" lycanthropy, curse or otherwise, I can't imagine it would be dificult to ward a church. At least that would fit in with superstition.

I like the idea for this kind of werewolf, but it doesn't really work with my own version because it has no gestalt form. I worked out a kind of double DNA for the diferences between the forms that could switch between the two depending on what form the werewolf is in, relying on a fantastic cell di...

It's just that... Serious Werewolves are SCARY creatures...and Scary creatures don't do stuff like that...unless it is your intention to shatter that image and laugh at it instead...in which case it's very very Funny. I just can't see a more traditional, BASE/Canon Werewolf being able to do that. I...

You can thank Figarou and his friend for the duckies (inside joke). I hope you have fun here; I know I do. It's nice to talk to werewolf fans across the globe who range from sceptically interested to insanly longing for the transformation (I'm the latter). Just don't be afraid to speak your mind, bu...

Yet racism exists, has existed, and probably will continue to exist until everyone can learn to love everyone else. Until then it's an imposiblility to erradicate it.

But reality, logic, realism, sense, and consequences aside...

I prefer it that way because that is what I identify the Lycanthropic condition as. I think that would be absolutely Terrifying . I think it would make life for a werewolf a chaotic, dangerous nightmare...I think it would make Lycanthropy a 'CURSE'...which is always what it has been to me. That is ...

What I ment when I said monster was what Vuldari said about him "losing control" to the animal inside him, a seperate concious. While to him it apears to be exilirating, to me that's terrifying. After all, control over dangerous passions (such as violence or lust) is a trait that people re...

Personally I think that it would be very useful to sprout a tail and ears to aid expression, but I can also see how it's more cartoonish, so I think I'll go for complete transformation from human to wolf only (excluding even gestalt). As far as the losing control idea by Vuldari, that scares me more...

Partial Transformations

Should a werewolf be able to change only part of his body while keeping the rest in the other form? For instance, while a human can he have wolf ears and tail to help express emotions, or be a wolf with human hands to open doors? It's basically also asking if the forms should be absolute (Human, Ges...

That's another aspect we never discussed before (at least that I know of). We'd be bringing another potentially destructive power into the world if we somehow created lycanthropy. There's always the chance that it will be abused, so should we risk creating it at all?

I picked four legs because I just don't like the idea of the Gestalt form all together. My image of the werewolf is a human that changes into a wolf and vice versa, with no blending of the two forms. Of course you're all welcome to disagree.

*Sigh* It shows that I've already voted, but I can't remember what I said, it was so long ago. All of the facts say that werewolves aren't real, but I yearn for the opposite. To be able to run through a forest on four sure paws, faster than the wind with the world ablaze in your nose and ears instea...

I believe I've read that as well, or a variation of it. It was more of an astral projection that took the form of animals, but it's still a rare case in ancient folklore where werewolves are portrayed as good.

You could also take it from a scientific point of view, though this obviously has nothing to do with the old legends where magic took precidence over logic. Say, for instance, that the werewolf's invulnerablility lies in his ability to quickly reproduce cells to heal any wounds he may suffer. Perhap...

Werewolf Legends & Lore

I think the bigest change was people like us, people who realized how wonderful it would be to get under a wolf's skin without hurting those they loved. Despite the wolf's evil image throughout history and the negative publicity it has continued to receive today, we saw the beauty and power in the b...
