Veeellll....I don't have *one* favorite version, but I'll post with a couple of differences....^^; Genre: Fantasy, or sometimes Sci-fi.... Human form: They look like normal humans, however, they are almost always in very good shape, and IMO, are usually very beautifull, though not inhumanly so.... S...

Wolf form---Full wolf paws. Gestalt---Fingers no/not much shorter, but a little thicker. Fur, claws, and all pads, including the wrist one. Oposable thumb. Also, I feel they should be able to regenerate... :D hwlwnk Edit: Also, claws on hands should be sharp, as the probably even would be on any can...

Re: Bite your tongue...

Nerves don't regenerate: Actually, they can a tiny bit. In simpler organisms, but ones that are still complicated enough to have a nervous system, they regenerate better. In designing a werewolf to regenerate better in general, one could--and probably should--include better neural regeneration. A w...

ABOUT THE SKULL-SHIFT-AFFECTING-BRAIN-SIZE-ISSUE: The part of your brain that thinks is a thin layer on the outside. Most of the sfuff on the inside isn't really good for anything...Now think: if the matter in the middle was redistributed to somewhere else, the outside layer could be scrunched up wi...

pretty much the only problem with this is, how would the voice change exactly? deeper? growlier? weaker? stronger? defined accent? Good question, and one that's not exactly hard to answer, especially since we generally associate wolves with one of two sounds: low-pitched growling or high-pitched ho...

I think claws (and blood and saliva and sex) should spread lycanthropy as well as any bite. I agree with all but claws: The rest make sense, but having a hard, dead, fingernail scratching you spread it? It seems to me all that does is get -your- blood on the -wolf-, not something live from the wolf...

Hmm, yes, that does seem a bit overused...I guess *I* just have a problem when they have no choice but to be bloodthirsty monsters...It makes the whole thing somewhat uninteresting to me if the characters have no choice, it also spreads bad steriotypes about real wolves... :(

In my opinion, we need a wolf that LOOKS LIKE A WOLF. Not a hairless-faced-no-muzzle-5-inch-fanged-body-builder. What I think: Hunched (in anthro state): Yes, fairly. Huge muscles: NO. Look at a wolf, they are strong, but lean and fairly wirey, not body builder. It also depends on what they look lik...

What I think: Wolves can relearn how to talk, but it would be a strain on their vocal cords. They would never be able to talk WELL, but in the anthro (can't remember the name of the 1/2 wolf form, sorry) form, it's much easier then the wolf form where they could barely talk, and it's a much larger s...
