I was looking around on video google and i found this full length NOVA Documentary on wolves. I'd say the baby would stay human. Not shift. Though, shifting in the later stages would probably bear the risk of accidentally aborting the pregancy.... :P I'd say this method makes the most sence, the unborn child stays in it origenal form, but shifting frequently, or in later stages of pregnancy...
