The essence of the werewolf is the wolf, of course, and what the wolf is most about in reality, versus what he is least about. We've all but completely debunked the idea of the wolf as a ravenous, bloodthirsty monster. Unlike vampires, demons, and other creatures which remain mythical, wolves are kn...

Actually the Germaic term for werewolf or... wer-wolf was used to describe a man (woman) who could turn into a wolf (full wolf). In most of the European legends, at least the ones I've studied, the person would become a full wolf. Sometimes people would see a wolf rise on its hind legs, or talk wit...

Except in rare stories, shifting to and from human form is part of what defines werewolves.

The half-wolf form is most of what makes werewolves interesting to me. I don't care too much for full-wolf form.

Isolating the cancer isn't good enough. You need to eliminate it if you want the body to be healthy again.

I will agree that furry seemed different a number of years ago. The more publicity it gets, and the bigger it gets thanks to the internet, its negative aspects will become more widespread and prominent. Just like what happened to Goth, otaku, and a bunch of other subcultures.

All the billion "Air Bud" and "snow dogs at various points of comedy and adventure" movies that Disney puts out indicate to me that somewhere, a silent bastion of canine lovers lurks in hiding. I bet Beverly Hills Chihuahua will have 2-3 sequels too. :( Mega failure.

And yes, we need a "Freeborn" or something like it, to challenge our responses to the non-tribe being. Freeborn is a lot more than just entertainment, it's medicine. Ehh there have been movies and stories that tackle this issue for a long, long time... like the excellent The Iron Giant , ...

An average adult wolf, if he were a human being, would be a (relatively) physically fit human being. Sooo to become half wolf... you would get in shape automatically, because you'd be "normalized" with the wolf. If that makes any sense.

If lycanthropy is some kind of infection, then yeah, the person would become a werewolf.

As long as the donor matches blood types, the body won't reject it. But if the blood type doesn't match, then hey, the recipient is a dead duck anyway.

Come to think of it, I can't recall where the "three forms" idea originated, if not from Werewolf: The Apocalypse. 99% of the werewolf stories, myths, and movies that I've seen show only a two-form change.

I voted for only on two legs, since my ideal werewolf gestalt has a relatively human-like body, and I can't for the life of me imagine how he would move any faster, or be any more agile, when using all four limbs. It's a difficult concept for me to picture, and it seems unnecessary at best, clumsy a...

Feed Wolves and they won't kill your cattle, etc. Sorry I didn't quite catch you. Are you saying this does, or doesn't, work in real life? Granted there's all kinds of different behavioral things wrong with feeding wild wolves, and it's probably a bad idea. But this seems like it would work, at lea...
