Welcome, and don't miss the openly mindless ones either!

Good point. In "Wulfen Blood", the Lupus Inceptor viroid is an order of magnitude larger than a regular virus, being just barely visible in optical microscopes (usually mistaken as a bit of efus in the serum it's in). It's about 1/100th the size of a paramecium, which makes it freakin' HU...

Looks interesting. I think most were stories defy science as we know it in one way or the other. More power to the ones that avoid them, but it would be too restrictive to the were stories I want to create. I read a story where all a blood transfusion from a werewolf to a human gave the human tempor...

I have posted were-panther but probably were-cougar or were leopard would be a better description. I definitely favor the cat family though I love watching and reading werewolf stories too as well as other kinds of shape shifters. I would not be here otherwise.

In the story I'm working on I am thinking of having a character "stuck in animal form" (or after reading this board it's probably more of a gestalt form). It would be hard and this character would be outcast by many in their were community and pure human society, looking too human as a pur...

Good idea limiting the effects of the werewolf virus to humans, though the other option could be good for more humorous stories. The "shape shifting can only be inherited" model would eliminate the problem of non human organisms getting infected and wolf traits (or other traits if discussi...

The Werewolves in "Wulfen Blood" live on the average of one hundred to one hundred twenty-five years; with the exceptional Wulf reaching one hundred fifty years of age at time of death. That's if they don't do anything stupid...like being caught by the villagers. Their extended life spans...

Sorry-Caffiene levels are getting low and I'm getting silly... (That's why I'm called RedEye) 1. Wash fur in cheap drying shampoo, rinse. 2. Use a blow dryer on your fur so it sticks out all over. 3. Curl it, and dye it pink or blue. 4. Put Fur up in ribbons. 5. Congratulations! You are no longer a...

I don't think it's possible but could be probable, but my "theater of the mind" loves to play with the idea, especially were-cats.

If I recall correctly, David's death would allow "those cursed to walk the earth in limbo" like Jack and David's victims to rest in peace, it would do nothing for David himself or I would assume anyone who survived an attack by David to become a WW themselves. All of David's victims died s...

California meowing but I appreciate howls too.

Born in California nearly 40 years ago and a fan of weres and shapeshifters for a long time. I remember seeing the old "Wolf-Man" movies on the weekend "Creature Feature" shows on network TV. Also a fan of the Twilight Zone, Night Gallery and shows like that. I'm more cat oriente...
