yeah, but then we'd have been stuck with Dick Cheney, aka "Lex Luthor in disguise". And nobody wants a comic book super villain in office. Lesser of two evils.

Re: Hurricane Gustav

I am so bloody sick of hearing about New Orleans. Rita did more damage to my area than Katrina did to NE. The main damage they got was because their stupid governor was too busy tending his own interests to fix the levy and take care of his people. The only people in NE I have sympathy for are the ...

I'm more concerned with the fact that the 'hunters' have given three different accounts for how they came across the remains. Oh, also, they filmed an interview with a 'scientist' concerning the find, and posted it on YouTube, only to later admit that the 'scientist' in question was actually not a s...

Does it reflect poorly upon me if I say that things like this don't faze me at all? No. It's actually almost a given most times for me. We live in a world where 12 people can hijack airliners and pilot them into skyscrapers, news reporters can be beheaded for doing their jobs, pro wrestlers can str...

To be even more fair...it's highly unlikely the victim could have been saved. Nobody even knew what was happening until after the vic started screaming, and stabbing someone 50-60 times requires an awful lot of rapid fire stabbing. Nine times out of ten, even if someone had jumped up to help, the vi...

Re: what got you interested in wolves?

My reason is kind of dumb. When I was young, like...probably seven or eight, we had a dog that was an akita-wolf mix, or so we were told. Whether she really was or not, I really don't know, but I liked her a lot, and we kind of grew up together. We moved out of town, though, and to an apartme...

Alright, time to switch gears in this thread. Something happened on July 13th, apparently...when an odd, very dead creature that "smelled like rotting flesh" washed up on Long Island. Dubbed "The Montauk Monster" for now, it's described as looking like a "bloated, hairless d...

And for the record, I like the Lou Ferrigno Hulk over anything computer-generated. That would be because Lou Ferrigno is, in fact, a God among men. Not...really, no. If anything, the little mongrel brats got worse without him, almost within three or four hours. Yeah, losing one is always hard. :( One of the original Danes we had, named Bobo, died a few years back, actually. 180 lbs of floppy lipped, drooling, droopy eyed dogdom. He was always sort of the Sheriff around the house as far as the smaller mongrel dogs were concerned. he'd let them act up for aw...

Re: Dog owners, come here. :D

I have no dogs now, but having just moved out from the parents house last January, I always had dogs around for most of my life, as the maternal unit is a dog maniac. 14 dogs, 11 of which are small mongrels, a miniature pinscher, and two Great Danes. One of the 11 mongrels, technically, is mine, but...
