Re: Site Direction
I'm interested in bringing the forums back, too. I don't use twitter or tumblr, and forums allow for more structured discussions on various topics, and it's easier to moderate. Though I'm not much of a design guy, so I can't really help with a new design, unfortunately.

Re: control in WW form
Chris: in my view if Werewolf gets canine/werewolf insticts he should have them in human form also how would transformation from human to werewolf give instincts that will surface when werewolf transforms? The same way that a human body can transform into a wolf or wolf-like creature. By making som...

Re: control in WW form
Well, here's my take: First off, I think that the werewolf maintaining his mental faculties is much more interesting from a story perspective since human beings are complex things mentally. It leads to all sorts of plot-driven conflicts both internally (how he feels about his new condition - revuls...

Re: Speech?
I would wonder if a canine muzzle is even capable of proper human speech. I've seen countless examples of people trying to get dogs to say words, and even the best examples of such sound like little more than barks and howls to me. We know dogs can understand human speech, at least well enough to fo...

Really? Somebody's going to try to fight me when they're stuck in a car that's leaking fuel? I'll accept that they may be panicked, but that should be over the fact that they're stuck in the car. To be fair, when panicked people tend to act irrationally and make poor decisions. Like someone who can...

Re: Vampire and werewolf
Presuming vampires and werewolves are trying to be accepted (that is, they police themselves about attacking humans, and they try to live by human standards), I imagine vampires would have an easier time being accepted. Not that it would be easy, but still easier compared to werewolves. I base this ...

Re: Wolves
I haven't heard very good things about it. To me it looks like a cross between Teen Wolf and Skinwalkers, with a typical plot; teen/young adult finds out/gets turned into a werewolf, gets embroiled in a war between two sides and has to help stop the evil aggressors. But hey, this is different and ed...

Re: How Acrobatic Is A Werewolf?
I'd agree with that. Being able to shift forms at will doesn't necessarily mean the shift is fast, fluid, or painless, or that it won't leave the werewolf winded. They could lose significant ground on their prey just from the shift, and may need some time afterward to regain their full strength. Per...

Re: Freeborn Crowdfunding Campaign Online
Now try not to get upset when I say this, but some portrayals of werewolves have similarities to aspects which are more frequently enjoyed by the vampires This statement makes me think of Sabrewulf from Killer Instinct (the original arcade version from 1995, not the new 2013 version that annoyingly...

Re: A Moral Dilemma
That would make me wonder how many werewolves there are around the globe and how in-touch they are with each other. Could they get into contact with some experienced werewolves near to his home? If so, then they could do that and send him home into their care for the following months. If not, then y...

Re: Infinity Runner
There could be escape pods, or maybe a teleporter or something, that you need to get to quickly. Plenty of ways to get off a futuristic spaceship without having to go into space. Or maybe these werewolves don't die of suffocation/burning/impact and can survive falling through space and down to a pla...

Re: Should Werewolves Have Tails?
some designs could go either way like Van Helsings and some designs like lycans would look odd with tail. I disagree with that. IMO, the Van Helsing design really could use a tail. The lycan design could also use one, although it has bigger problems for me (the stubby snout, and lack of fur). I'm n...

Infinity Runner
Trailer . I became aware of this from an article on Rock, Paper, Shotgun . Kind of difficult to tell exactly what's going on, but from what I gather it looks like a parkour-style running game where you have to run, jump, and tumble through large environments to escape. And you can turn into a werew...

Personally, I'd want to be able to communicate in a transformed state. "Don't shoot" would be a good phrase, for instance. I think when it comes to "don't shoot", there's really only a few possibilities... 1 - whoever has (a) gun(s) has fast reflexes and is quick acting at the s...

Re: Limits on Interaction with the Human World?
can you explain this please? A job where you're forced to work on a full moon night would be a problem because you risk revealing yourself as a werewolf -- perhaps you're more prone to changing if you can't keep focus, or it's easier for you to be angered or scared into changing unexpectedly. Serio...

Re: Limits on Interaction with the Human World?
First off, I would agree that soldier or cop would be a bad career choice for a werewolf -- and not just because it would lead to confrontational situations that might provoke a shift. What happens if the guy gets assigned to work a shift that coincides with the full moon? There's also that people ...

Here's something that may be of some interest. From Japan, a band of 5 "wolves" has been making a bit of a splash. Their music could probably be described as some mix of j-punk/pop/rock. Emotions From Youth To Death Feel and Think Distance Never Fxxkin' Mind The Rules The masks are, at bes...

2. The only way I can play this thing is to sell my soul to Xbone?! Well, forget that . Anything that requires you be connected to the internet, even to play single-player, is retarded . It will also available for the PC, Mac, and PS4. As for requiring an internet connection, well, it's an MMO. Eve...

Either that or they behave in an odd way, or they screw up the balance of the game. Oblivion and Skyrim are really poorly balanced as-is. Skyrim particularly.. just look at the sneak skill, which is basically hax-mode once you start using its perks, or the completely useless and unnecessary lockpic...

So, Microsoft has announced Killer Instinct as an XBox One exclusive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmPbt7Hx_cg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsLgU21SPHk I... don't know what to think of this. I loved the original games. It's awesome that they've kept Sabrewulf, who doesn't look terribly bad. But,...

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
I don't get why people are so focussed on mods for Skyrim and Oblivion. I think Morrowind had a few nice mods and tweaks, but I've never seen a mod that added something truly essential to Oblivion or Skyrim, except for stupid nudity mods and mods that allow you to kill children. If thats all the fu...

I think my favorite RPG's / Bethesda games is as follows: 1) Morrowind 2) Skyrim 3) Oblivion If we're talking unmodded, mine would be: 1) Daggerfall 2) Oblivion 3) Skyrim While modded would pretty much invert that list: 1) Skyrim 2) Oblivion 3) Daggerfall Morrowind was a good game, don't get me wro...

Elder Scrolls Online
It was mentioned in the Skyrim thread, but I think it deserves its own. The Elder Scrolls Online is due for release sometime this year. It will have werewolves, and the player will have the opportunity to become one. No more details about that have been provided, though (as far as I know). Here's th...
