Re: What is the meaning of Life and the purpose of Life
Called it! Anyway, I guess I'll say here what I did there. From a biological standpoint, the purpose of life (or rather, living) is to eat, sleep, find shelter, and propagate (that's 'get lucky' for those of you who go out on Friday nights). In nature, it is easily observable that all existing...

Well, hello, there. From what you've said, I think you'll be just fine here. :welcome: In addition to werewolves, we also happen to share many other interests across the board. For example... DUCKIES! :ducktoss3: That's a bit of a fad that's going around these days...you'll get used to it. Anyways, ...

First one: Rune.
Second one: reflection (don't make much sense, i know, but that's all I got).
The third one sounds like it might be a railroad track.

Re: First Robotics
Well, I only served in one year (2007), and we never won any of the championships in any of the three tournaments we participated in (made it to the 5th bracket in the world championship though, and the team that beat us went on to win 2nd place), but we DID win the regional Chairman's award, as wel...

For those of you who play company of heroes , this is impressive. I joined a 2v2 match as the Wehrmacht. 5 seconds in, my ally is kicked/drops (I don't know) and is replaced by an AI which does very little except harass the two enemy players I'm now up against (which it does very poorly). I nearly g...

Re: Is this board too strict?
I suppose that's true, but it did get the message across. The guy's name was Chernyl (think chernobyl) and he was a bit of a forum bandit. He would post on every thread, delivering a wacky aside that often made no sense, but sometimes was genuine wisdom. Nice guy. Then someone would step out of line...

Re: Is this board too strict?
You know, what you could do would be to begin any post where you're exercising your authority with a big, fat note showing exactly that, something like: ADMIN MODE I've been on forums where blog-happy admins did that. It was kind of silly at first, but when the red text o' death comes a-rollin', duc...

I used to be in team 1511: Rolling Thunder. I had to leave when I left high school. I got to keep the sweet black, white and red camouflage pants though.

Hehe...amusing topic name, but I digress. I'm bored, so I'ma share a few of my favorite pasta recipes with y'all. Most of these are based on more complicated recipes, then dumbed down for the bored teenager/lazy cook. They still taste excellent compared to your typical fast food, of course. Poor Man...

Ahhh...super string theory. Let the college physics major speak! Here's what I know. Beyond atoms and the subatomic particles which compose them (quarks and gluons), physicists have theorized that there is a hyper-subatomic particle whose behavior allows for a fusion of the behavior of objects of ve...

Tomorrow.
The man who wanted it didn't show it.
The man who bought it didn't use it.
The man who used it didn't know it.
What is it?
I got this one from an old book...I'm not sure if it's worded correctly, so there may be other correct answers from the one that I know.

Re: Is this board too strict?
That's true. In a practical sense, the 'strict-ness' of a board is ultimately up to the moderators. The job of a mod is not an easy one (I may not be a mod here, but I have been elsewhere, so bear with me). You need to strike a balance between regulating uncivil behavior on the board and protecting ...

I just completed an online quiz for my chemistry class. These quizzes are notoriously hard; if your answer is not exact, you lose the question completely-no partial credit. Also, the quizzes have very complicated questions; each one may require several minutes of work. And I aced it. Hoo-ah! (think ...

Re: Tax time
I haven't held a job this fiscal year (too busy with college), so I don't have to pay taxes, nor to I get paid so i can pay taxes. The only job I ever held was over the summer of '07 (at Burger King), and I've already paid the taxes for that. So, in the realm of taxes, my opinion is officially, 'meh'.

Re: Depression thread
I know that's true. I just get empathetic when people's feelings get hurt around me, no matter who they are. Don't ask me why, it's just a trait I have.
I really only said what I said to get it off my chest....I know you're right, but I had to say my thoughts to someone.
