Re: Emotional Healing

The manga Parasyte, which I recommend reading, has an excellent example of what might happen with a werewolf. The main character becomes slowly changed by his condition(which is having an alien parasite in his arm), and he becomes increasingly inhuman over time. He finds a puppy that was hit by a ca...

Re: Tax time

I completely forgot about it last year, and just remembered about it this year, and I still have pretty much no idea what to do about it. So, I fully expect the tax men to come abduct me.

Re: Temper problems

So, you're angry that you're angry..and that makes you angry? I've had a couple days like that.
All work and no rage makes Jack a dull boy.

Letting go usually helps me, just disconnect and stop letting it bother me.

Re: A-Kon 20

Well, I should be beginning my career as a mostly-independent adult when I move at the end of February, and A-kon is around 3 months after that, so I should have been able to get a new job, get settled, and recoup from the costs of moving. It would definitely be interesting, and I'll be putting some...

Re: You're Take On Those Who Believe

I enjoy how proving they don't exist would essentially be the exact same as the process of proving that they do exist, and that proving they exist would actually be easier since you most likely wouldn't have to scour the entire planet. Thus, it's more productive to say "prove that they don't ex...

Re: Underlying Reasons to be a Werewolf Fan

I'd say I'm about at 3.5, maybe even a 4. I'm no more obsessed with werewolves than say, vampires, spellcasters, Fey, dragons, or anything else. Possibly, I'm not just interested in the because they're stronger, or faster, or anything like that, but rather just that they're different. If anything is...

Re: And now for something completely different!

You do realize that with a wounded wolf on the run, and you in the trap, the hunter is perfectly able to walk around you and go after the wolf, right? If it is a werewolf hunter, and they know full well that some of the time their quarry is human, then he's probably not going to be particularly soft...

Re: Animal ghosts?

Hmm, the closest I've come to a ghost would be when me and my friend were doing idiot-kid stuff around town in the wee hours of the morning and saw what looked like, and I'm serious, a garden gnome running across a park. It was that exact size, though it was probably a bird, or pet or something. Sti...

Re: And now for something completely different!

Half of this seems to be at odds with the other. In the first half, it looks like the (were)wolf is caught in the trap, but in the second it says "there is a broken branch in the trap's jaws." . Was this intentional, is there both a leg and a branch in the trap? If so, then I'm guessing th...

Re: Techno: Famous and Classic (Any Suggestions?)

Well, one that I didn't see is Scooter ( Maria , Fire , The Logical Song ), as an example of some of his stuff. Then there's people like Eifel 65( Move your body , I'm Blue ), Benny Benassi ( Satisfaction ), DJ Sammy( Heaven ). Mistaria ( Who killed JFK?) , Zymotix( Feel my love , and Rachel in Tran...

Re: New idea?

We didn't really get much further, but yeah, I feel that D20 is a bit of a more solid basis than Fighting Fantasy . Some of the rest of what I suggested was that we start from the beginning, so rather than plopping everyone right in the middle of a fight, we start at some neutral point, say, just pr...

Well, I know for certainly the owl is associated with wisdom, and the eagle with nobility, the hawk with strength or skill, and so forth. Maybe the artist just liked birds. You know why, cause bird bird bird, bird is the word, don't you know about the bird? Well everybody (even 14th century Jews) kn...

Re: Cure

As asked earlier, yeah, a cure could certainly be used as a weapon. Suppose a some politician was a lycanthrope, and was a supporter for lycanthrope rights. Cure him, whisper that he did it voluntarily, and in the right situation his supporters would turn against him. Suppose some folk-hero soldier ...

Re: Scent glands

I have read of a lot of werewolves that had a unique smell, usually smelling like the forest, or something you'd associate with the forest. So maybe. Though, really, they've got as much chance of retaining whiskers as scent glands, if they're retaining any. Which might lead to mustaches that tickle ...

Re: Cure

Well, in part it depends on if the creation of the cure is open or secret. If it's perhaps something open, like the search for the cure for cancer or AIDS, then that's different than if some private agency creates it. Also, it depends on how it works. If it gives 60% of everyone affected by it fatal...

I'll probably get around to doing the rest of the lyrics later tonight, though Maugrim certainly fits the profile of the shiny demon.

It's fun stuff, join us and torture Maug in the hopes of starting the robot uprising!
