Re: Guild Wars 2

Just thought I'd post back with some things... Let's start off with a really nice image of a lady Charr thief ! (It's a pic from the alpha phase, so there are some clipping issues, but even still it looks absolutely amazing!) Next up, take a look at this video: Thief Skills (There are Charr and Norn...

Re: Going where no Therians would dare go before...

It does at that, it really does at that. I respect many people here, whether I agree with them or not, and hell, some of them might not even realise it. So yep, I like the people here. I might not agree with them, and I'll likely never live up to anyone's standards of normal (even the clique here), ...

Re: Going where no Therians would dare go before...

Hm. I agree with Morkulv. I also disagree with Berserker, but I don't think we're going to find a common ground there, I think that's more of a philosophical disagreement more than anything else stemming from different backgrounds and with very different outlooks on life, the Universe, and everythin...

Re: Going where no Therians would dare go before...

That was entirely the point, though. Everyone's a hypocrite, and that's how this works, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to be better. This is the very core of what I was attempting to get at, albeit with the eloquence and subtlety of Red Dwarf's cat after he's just found a jackhammer. Th...

Re: Going where no Therians would dare go before...

Hm. Saw this and felt the need to toss my coins in. The thing is is that people are flawed, all people. There are no perfect people because that goes against nature, I don't think nature actually does perfection, or whether we're even able to perceive it. I've never seen it. And frankly, we're all m...

Re: Guild Wars 2

I've been playing Guild Wars a lot, and GW2 looks great. But the lack of grind? Oh no, there'll be grinding... GW1 has tons of grinding. That's not untrue, but it feels dishonest to me. When I'm talking about grinding, I mean enforced grinding, the sort of grinding you absolutely cannot avoid. The ...

Guild Wars 2

This is a game I'm very much excited about at the moment, it's got a lot going for it in that it isn't like other MMORPGs. There's no subscription, therefore you won't be forced to grind, and thus it can't suck both your money and life out through your nose, like some sort of... I don't know, pseudo...

Re: Games you loved as a little kid but wouldn't play now

The old home computer games which I loved so much, I doubt I could play them today. Stuff like Elite, Jet Set Willy, and Monty Mole. ...no one's going to have heard of that. You made me feel old, Berserker! D: But yes, my first gaming experience was the BBC Micro. From there I went to the ZX-80 and ...

Re: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

I'd strongly recommend getting it on the PC for the werewolf mod , since none of the console versions support mods. If you can run Fallout 3 on your computer then you'll be able to run Oblivion just fine. And failing that, there's Oldblivion , which works wonders with getting Oblivion to run on olde...

Re: Are there playable werewolves in Dragon Age: Origins? Yes!

@Aki You get all the effects of weapons and armour, but it's invisible. Also, I've made a mod (proper one too, that uses the dazip format for proper installation and everything) that changes the behaviour of Wolves and Bears, too, so they're actually friendly. Having to put down some 17 Wolves was r...

Re: Are there playable werewolves in Dragon Age: Origins? Yes!

It looks like a werehyena. It actually does a bit, except for the ears, the spots and... well, it looks somewhere between a Wolf and a Hyena, I'll admit that at least. That's fine though, because I really dig hyenas, too. Plus, they run on all fours, which is a massive bonus for me. All good werewo...

Are there playable werewolves in Dragon Age: Origins? Yes!

http://i36.tinypic.com/e5l6i9.jpg Gaze in awe and wonder! >.> I admit, it was a bit hackish, as I had to use the toolset for it, and followed a guide , but now I'm playing a werewolf, and it is rather glorious. The really funny part of all this though, and this frequently adds hilarity to the game,...

Re: Server downtime

I haven't posted in a while but I was nosed toward this and I thought I'd offer my two pence. Donations This is a fantastic idea! Merchandising This I find questionable, because it means that the admins/mods would probably have to start acting as support, and it might lead to unsatisfactory resoluti...

Re: Champions Online has Awesome Werewolves!

@Aki Those are awesome screenshots and I hope I see you in game! Bit of a tip though that I think you'll like: When you're next at a tailor, for the torso section, in the main drop down check out chest-wear. Then in the chest-wear subcategory of torso, there are quiute a few fur options, including a...

Re: Champions Online has Awesome Werewolves!

@Wingman You know what assumptions do, right? Aki's got it covered, though. And later on, you can even pick up tanks and gigantic boulders and both clobber with and throw them. The environment does provide for cover, and the size of the character versus the size of the object they're hiding behind t...

Re: Champions Online has Awesome Werewolves!

Can anyone provide additional information? Oh Gods, the Super Bug again. Yeah, Shadow heard about this too and I had to explain it to him, because he's been having no trouble with the game. The thing is, they swung the nerf bat a little too hard, they realised this and because they're Cryptic and t...

Re: Champions Online has Awesome Werewolves!

Okay, Shadow asked me to create a werewolf in Champions Online to show him, so I thought I'd show it here, too. I know the proportions are buffed out, but that's because that's what I think Shadow likes (but I might be wrong!). And the belt buckle? Errr... sorry about that, I simply couldn't resist!...

Re: Champions Online has Awesome Werewolves!

Two things again! I'm sorry about the hand-outstretched thing in combat for both shots, that's my idle energy builder which provides me for power for bigger attacks, it's hard to turn off the UI, take a screenshot, and fight at the same time, I had to just use my endurance builder for the combat sho...

Re: Champions Online has Awesome Werewolves!

Two things! 1) You can turn the cel-shaded look off, but since Champions Online is pretty much ... er ... Camp ions Online, I dig the cel-shaded look. 2) There was a bug with AA that made it not work, this was fixed in the Sep 18 patch. I cranked up AA to full and it completely got rid of the jagged...
