Re: The New World--Character Thread
That's quite hilarious, but I almost shudder to ask where that came from. In response to the Wits matter, I understood that from the start. The only reason I didn't put specifications on what kind of Wit I wanted was because I was having a very difficult time deciding between smell and hearing. In t...

Re: The New World--Character Thread
Alright, considering my options, let's see what I can come up with: Name : Jax Masis Appearance : Male. Age 28. 6' 1". Eerily pale skin. Deep maroon eyes masked in a veil of deathly-straight dark-brown hair. Rather skinny frame but has a sturdy-enough build. Personality : Is not a social person...

Re: The New World--Character Thread
Wingman, If you wouldn't mind, I have two questions: 1: Would other unique moments in the moon's cycle such as the harvest moon qualify as a moon phase ? 2: Will there be other supernatural beings featuring in the story as it may be important to the developement of my (and possibly other) character(...

Re: Riddle Contest
How do you keep getting Andrew? As I was going over Westminister Bridge, I met with a Westminister scholar; He pulled off his cap and drew off his glove, And (short for Andrew) wished me a very good morrow. What was his name? Well, since, I already told my source, I guess someone else can say their...

Re: Riddle Contest
The first one is correct.
Though, you have the right idea on the third one.
By the way, if you wouldn't mind, I'll tell you the source after the riddles are all answered to help prevent cheating.

Re: Classical!
I haven't been a fan of classical until about six months ago after being enlightened by my local radio network. Now, whenever I see two contrastingly-hilarious people fighting, I hear La Dona e Mobile in my head. I don't really know the names of many of the songs or artists so I would be much ablige...

I'm really not sure but I think the first one might be sky. This is the part that gets me though:
I think the third one might be ice but I really can't make any other connection. But there, beneath his head,
It forms his stony bed.

Re: Changing Radiations
It very well could be; but remember, this is a forum thread under What should a werewolf be , not "What a werewolf is" so from my general (and most-likely limited) knowledge on the subject, I think it would (hypothetically)just be more likely that a werewolf's change were triggered by a ge...

Re: Changing Radiations
Firstly, If the shift has to happen every full moon night, rain or shine, indoors or out, and not be forced any other time, the challenge is to figure out what is unique about those particular moments that would affect someone on the Earth's surface wherever they are--something from which one could ...

Re: Changing Radiations
Well, I don't know what to say except....wow! You really did your research. Though wouldn't the speed of the UV radiation slow down because the moon is very opaque? It wouldn't be like the moon was made of glass (I should hope not, lest it turn into a magnifying glass affect). And maybe there's a ce...

Well, if you change the wavelengths of the radiation, no matter what kind of radiation it is, aren't you changing the radiation itself?

Re: Changing Radiations
As for reflective surfaces, my limited experience in this field says no. Refractive things, on the other hand, just might do the trick. I'm guessing you're talking about the moon. If you are, it would be less of a strain to just say that the moon itself is giving off the radiation, and thus it's bl...

Changing Radiations
(this has to do with werewolves, if I gather all the info it should help make one basic explaination of a were to the fullest extent of my knowledge) Is it possible for one radiation (Radiation A) to bounce off of a certain reflective surface and make an entirely or partially different radiation (Ra...

Re: I have an interesting question
Wouldn't someone who had been declared dead from a car crash or something and brought back to life by those electric things or something be considered undead?
Also, I find it rather funny that we have skewed so far off topic with what I've said.

Re: I have an interesting question
[snip] I find it amusing that you find issue with "realism" over the ability to turn into a bat but not with the vampire being undead . A state which - beyond being impossible by anything resembling normal biology - is not sustainable with blood. Your muscles need far more than to be &quo...

Re: I have an interesting question
I honestly have a hard time buying into vampires. Most of the historical accounts of them have either been simple cannibalism or have actually been connected to cases of werewolves. Also, their tranformation into bats is simply rediculus. It is impossible for a anything to compress it's entire body a...

Obviously from my avatar, you can tell I like the Punisher (not the new one)....Anyway, I have a very strong passion for werewolves, though no one else I know does. My passion has become an obsession as the years have gone by; but it's not just proving that werewolves exist that makes me obsess. The...
