Re: Have you been called a werewolf before?

yup. my close friends sometimes call me wolfman, on account of my body-hair and love of werewolves.

i dont see why not, but only straight up and not amazingly fast, it would take time to dig claws in to concrete or what have you.

Re: Depression thread

Re: The world goes werewolf crazy.

i didnt mean it with disrespect, im just tired of the cliche. it just annoys me that a huge percentage of werewolf fiction is pulp romance and erotica. at least they could try being original with it. Mooncalled is a great example of how werewolf fiction should be, while writer's like Lori Handeland ...

Re: The world goes werewolf crazy.

yeah but in those books, the werewolves are almost always of the "magical shapeshifter" type. meaning they go straight from man to wolf, and have that whole "at one with nature" thing going for them. those arent proper werewolves IMHO.

Re: Your werewolf obsession. Does it go in phases?

its almost continual, but sometimes i get sidetracked. like ill see an awesome movie about ghosts, then ill be on ghosts for a while. whenever another mini-obsession comes though, i find myself working werewolves in somewhere. also it varies in intensity....low point: not thinking about weres at all...

hayseed dixie's version of "nothing else matters" by metallica. if you've never heard of them, hayseed dixie is a bluegrass band that does cover versions of rock and metal songs. its awesome.

In my stories, they transform because lunar radiation raises there adrenaline levles (they're alergic to adrenaline) and then when they get older they learn to control the moon's effect on them, and actually store lunar radiation. i dont want to be rude, but i thought id point out that theres no su...

Re: Should werewolves have the ability to shift back into human?

i think the ability to switch forms is very important to a werewolf. a werewolf not being able to regain human form only works for a certain kind of movei... Ginger Snaps for example. i love the way she slowly becomes more and more wolf (or ratzilla, whatever) then just completes the shift all at on...

would i become one? No! it would just over complicate my life too much, plus you'd have to ditch your human friends and loved one for the pack, its not worth it.
