Magical Lycanthropy: I could possibly see lycanthropy affecting regular wolves, but it would effect every other living animal too... (or at least mammal). Though, usually if its magical, its a curse of some kind, and is specifically targeted to a person, group of people or humanity in general. Vira...

Apocalypto

Apocalypto It has been a few months since I saw the teaser for this in the movie theater, but it captured my imagination the moment I saw it. It is presumably coming this summer and I can hardly wait. Set in the Americas, before the time of the arrival of the Europeans, it takes place entirely in th...

In Ireland, they don't drink 'green' beer on St. Patrick's day nor make a big thing about Corn Beef and Cabbage.

But North America has its own spin on St. Patty's day and while I don't pay it much attention, I smile at folks who are having a good time celebrating.

On a few occasions I have run into the trailer for 'Happy Feet' at the movie theaters. I find that for its own sake, I enjoy the trailer a lot. How representative it is of the entire movie, only actual release will reveal.

I am looking forward to it though.

Would werewolves be able to read in wolf or gestalt forms ?

The same virus that changes the shape of bones, increases and decreases certain senses, may also have an affect on the WW in different forms. Portions of the brain, of which the mind is a feature, might be both enhanced and repressed. Wild wolves have no need to process images in the fashion that pe...

Frankly I reject the connection of the affliction/gift of lycanthropy to any religion. The primary religions which believe in 'Satan' are Judaism, Christianity and Islam, which are in fact related religions. Brands X, Y and Z. What humans and religions more often than not do, in a sort of knee jerk ...

Since to all appearances, the WW virus seems to recode the infected human being, it appears to be highly evolved to attack and recode a human genetic string. A chimpanzee is only a few percent different from humans, and yet look how much that difference counts for. A wolf is far more different in it...

If wolves were, in wolf or gestalt form, to talk among themselves, I would expect, that among a well established pack, it would be an adaptation of the common language they knew before their change. It would make natural allowances for the speech handicaps that wolf anatomy places on the efforts to ...

Well, mayhaps I should be a little more specific, in that, I don't like quick transformations that have the transformee hide or duck behind something, or poofing, and that it takes at no fewer than three seconds to complete. The scene could be described as sort of like the arrival and deployment of...

I should think, as many have suggested, that a first transformation could easily be a night of drawn out agony as the new WW struggles and fights while his body adjusts to being a malleable thing for the very first time. Over time, unless the WW is feckless and endlessly inept, with experience, and ...
