along the same lines, who's to say all werewolves are going to look alike? I think alot has to do with the person's body and genetics at the time they're bitten (or however they become a werewolf). who's to say that they don't go back to being exactly the same in human form each time? someone mentio...

to me, the tail no tail argument is easy..if the Were's are supernatural, then they can have them or not as we think looks best. if they are natural, then who's to say if they follow homid evolution or lupid or anything else..we can give them their own logic.. look at the duck-billed platypus... we ...

I think that goes back to "what causes the transformation?". if the cause was adrenaline or something similiar, then a nightmare could definitely cause the change.

I agree a tail would be a great touch, but the length and bushiness depends on whether the biped or quadreped form is the "norm" also, my thought is that if the muzzle and such can retract/disappear, then why can't the tail? one is an extension of the jaw and face while the other an extens...

good point about the way they eat..has anyone noticed that you rarely see werewolves eat in films..occasionally they'll tear off a chunk and seem to chew it or flip it up in the air and catch/swallow, but for the most part they take down their prey and move on.

nope..not sure..that's why I said it depends on the creature..just like some people bleed more than others..might be no visible blood at all.

I'm thinking it comes from the gums and possibly the lips and tongue..and could be a lot, depends on the creature itself I'd say..it would stop when the mouth healed shortly after the change, but I think it would happen every time the shapeshift happened...much like Wolverine said happend everytime ...

Thanks, WolfVanZandt, for taking the time to explain that to me..it's definitely appreciated. I can see why you'd have to develop the thick skin you mentioned.

in my opinion alot might have to do with the elongation of the jaw in relation to when the teeth grow..and of course the tongue stretches as well. the order things happen would decide how much damage occurs in the mouth. all this would help to explain why werewolves and such often look like they jus...

Werewolf By Night should be cool...I still can't believe it took me as long as it did to catch the little in-joke about the lead character's name..Jack Russell..like the terrier.. FF4 looks pretty cool, tho at first I wasn't too crazy about the casting..from the trailer tho it looks like the choices...

I went with medium and more even, and agree that werewolves should be covered in fur, like real wolves..as far as coloring, alot of that has to do with the basic "where do werewolves come from?"..if they are a variant of wolves, then of course they should follow the coloring patterns and s...

reading thru this tread, I've determined that it's not just a "how agile are werewolves?" question, but also a "how much do they retain of their human mind and skills?", since given what's being discussed, like the wall climbing, are as much something you learn as something your ...

blade-of-the-moon, My impression was that he drew the extra "power" from his sense of purpose (after all, he'd been dealing with what had happened originally for decades as an internal battle)..that, plus fear and anger at what he'd become, the way I see it, gave him the extra oomph.. or t...

In the tv series she-wolf of london aka love and curses, she transformed whenever she became aroused.

I just finished reading a novel in which sound was used to trigger the transformation..
