Can't tell much about it from that page, but I don't know that there's much chance of it working without getting a convertor; I'm no A/V technician, but I've never seen a TV with the right output. If you ran things from a computer (or maybe even a really fancy dvd player), then that's another matter.

No, the universe would disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarrely inexplicable
Which has probably already happened at least once.

I'd say the PS3 is worth a high price, if only for its raw power; it can do realtime fluid simulation, ffs!

Anyway, I doubt this'll regain MS what they've already lost. At this rate they'll lose the console market.

The human thing is a tough decision; logically all hair would grow out to natural length, but as has been said, this is a movie, not a documentary, and that simply wouldn't work. Although I can't come up with much of a rationale past that it uses the same material that was absorbed in the initial sh...

I think the wolf form would have normal wolf fur length, irrelevant to that of the human form's hair.

I'm with Vuldari, and I'd like to put particular emphasis on one point: The wolf form's advantages over a normal wolf should be directly proportional to the relative size. If it's exacly the same size as a wolf, it should be the same in all other aspects, too. But my ideal has it being significantly...

That dissappears on adult animals.
ok..never mind
Even if it didn't, I don't think it has any significant aesthetic affect.

I thought the original dog was the result of crossbreeding between the wolf and something else?

Whatever their origins, I wouldn't really classify dogs as a subspecies of anything with all the (in)breeding that's been done.

A very few, specific, people from here and one or two from elsewhere on the 'net would find out, and that'd be it. At that point I'd get one of the aforementioned to help rig up some sort of transportation to them (after spending ages proving it), meet up, bite, and decide what to do from there.

I'm not quite sure what the problem is. If one can grow and ungrow a tail, then something as simple as shutting down and/or absorbing sweat glands should be a simple matter. I don't really care which it is, so long as we don't see sweat-matted fur. The inverse proportion thing makes sense, too, so l...

Gestalt form sweating?

We were discussing this on IRC a bit, and it seemed appropriate to post here to be complete. Should the gestalt form sweat? I'd say no; sweat doesn't really work well with fur; there's a reason wolves don't.

Well, gestalt being a mix between human and wolf, it would make sense. So if it can be done well I'm for it, but I'm happy without it too if that's how things turn out.

\I'm well aware of that. But pack hunters, when hunting alone, are nowhere near as sucessful in taking down said prey. They are almost completely dependant on the pack for food. Now a were___ would probably find it a bit difficult finding a big group of others like it depending on the rarity of wer...

Well, there's always the literal interpretation. There're tons of standard english words that make no sense, or are completely irrelevant to their accepted meanings, when taken literally.
