I hummed under my breath, waiting for my brother to drive up. When he did, I smiled. Once again, he was riding his motorcycle. I smiled and threw my things into the side car.

"How was school?" He asked.

"Fine." I replied.

Okay, I was totally floating in some freaky black space void. That much I was certain. I could hear people's voices floating around me. What was happening? Where was I?

Fun? Hah! This was the best fun I'd had in a long while, besides running from bandits and my rabid brother. I sighed, closing my eyes again.

After several minutes in meditation, I rolled my head skyward, opening my eyes. A cool night loomed overhead, promising a chill in the air. I groaned, rising.

"If it's any consolation, I think that we should probably make camp and sleep."

I smiled gratefully at him.

"Yeah, like he said. I'm fine. I'll just tell Luke that I went out with some close friends. He thinks I don't have a life." I said with a chuckle.
