Okay so I have big hands.. There! I said it! now the world knows! I hope you're all happy! Anthony Brownrigg I look like I have big hands too... when I'm wearing heavy gloves. I think this is just a bit of a reality check. If the fingers get thicker and the hand/paw gets meatier overall, then what ...

Carefull not to grab ideas from White-wolf. They tried to sue the makers of UnderWorld. Don't want that to happen again. I know nothing of "white wolf" other than that I've seen it mentioned before, quite frequently. Honestly, it sounds like these people need to lighten up. They can't jus...

That depends. This would suggest that the change is triggered primarily by primal urges. Giving in to them could be a way of accepting the form and therefore being at peace with it, thus allowing a bit more controll,(having less to fight against). I don't think any great deal of controll should be m...

Regardless of any memories of the "gargoyles" it may stir, "The Pack" sits well with me. By chance I happened to type the phrase "the shifted" in another post, and it caught my eye as I proofread it. I think that is another possibility. ...just trying to keep the ideas ...

I think that WAS to scale. It was modeled around one of their hands.

Re: Attitude Regarding the Change

It's also best when the animal takes over their mentality, rather than being a human brain in werewolf form. On that point I don't quite agree. Although I think the introduction of animal thoughts and impulses should have a significant effect on the mental state of the shifted, I don't think it sho...

Re: Attitude Regarding the Change

I think transformation scenes are the best when the character doesn't "embrace" the change and can't control it. Sort of like in American Werewolf in London. He didn't want the change and struggled against it. That is far more interesting to a story than when they can control the change. ...

... all that is needed is to make a fluid and realistic movement of the body. Right... find an example of that and then show it to us, because I'm not covinced by that image. Legs are too scrunched. It'd never work. I agree. I do believe that dual posture is possible...but not like that. What's wit...

I'm sorry...I know that those pictures were intended to show how a form could move naturally given the described proportions, and I know that you asked that I take into account that they are just gif s, but... That looks totally unnatural. I don't see how that is a good example of anything. :?

Other werewolf films has ruined the werewolf mythology. I hate hollywood for that. I'm sick of the werewolf changing back when the full moon is covered by clouds. I'll be the odd man out here and go with "on all fours". I like the pre-wolfman werewolf , one where you become a large wolf. Honestly, I'm a bit more partial to that myself. The Idea of a human suddenly becoming not human is what really attracts me to the genre the most. The sheer contra...

I think, for the purposes of this movie, the Werewolvs should be almost exclusively bi-pedal. However...I also think that the transformed body shold have at least some limited capacity to move on all fours more natually than a human could, but still not gracefully.

But on the whole, I don't think this is something drastic enough that we need a thread to discuss it. I dissagree. The presence of a long, slobbery tounge on a Werewolf could have a fairly significant effect on the viewers first impression of it. If it is the directors intention to present the Wolv...
