Re: James Cameron's Avatar
Avatar looked like crap on my TV at 720p. I guess the compression was too much for standard DVD. I'll have to catch it on blu-ray sometime.

Re: How Does A Werewolf Walk?
I wish someone would post a youtube video of a normal person walking (not an olympic sprinter) on the balls of their feet and doing day to day activities. Either I'm not quite sure what you guys are talking about, or I can't quite picture it in my head, since the mechanically and developmentally cor...

Re: James Cameron's Avatar
A local grocery store has a deal where if you get a 2L of Coke, a package of popcorn, and a bag of gummy bears, you can get Avatar for $11.99. I figure that's a good deal.

Re: Dragons!
I loved How to Train Your Dragon , but I've noticed that dragons are becoming too dumbed down. That sounds like a silly thing to say, but dragons in general are often depicted more like Pokemon these days; they're too cute for their own good, or are benign and kid-friendly. They have no real meaning...

Re: How To Train Your Dragon
I saw this and loved it. Extremely tight storytelling, amazing score, charming and lovable character designs, 3-D that doesn't feel like a gimmick... I think it's an absolute travesty that this film earned less than half of what that polished turd Alice and Wonderland did. Something about the way th...

Re: How To Train Your Dragon
It's a well-known fact that dragons were a large part of viking life anyway. They carved ships and homes to resemble them, and they were depicted on shields and in leatherworking. Kings were buried with dragon carvings upon the tomb, and dragon trinkets therein. They are heavily featured in mytholog...

Re: Are werewolves ruining YOUR creativity?
It's all about identifying the audience. Great pictorial, by the way. Fiction genres have tropes which appeal to the vast majority of people who read them. "Internet werewolfdom" is its own genre, a composite of Werewolf the Apocalypse and Underworld with inspiration drawn from DeviantArt....

Re: James Cameron's Avatar
Recently I've noticed that people everywhere are developing a sudden, inexplicable, vile hatred for this movie. Strange that the same thing happened after Titanic started to get a lot of money. I don't recall anyone stepping out of the theater when Titanic came out spouting hatred for it, in fact ev...

Re: What makes a werewolf an interesting werewolf
I think to make a werewolf interesting, creators must first deconstruct the cliche and create a new mythology. Wolves after all are not mindless killers - but instead very loyal familly types - and the killer werewolf story was only brought about because of the ignorance to the wolf itself. Now tha...

Astounding Wolf-man up for grabs
I have an auction of 10 issues of Wolf-Man up on eBay. It's pretty cheap so check it out if you've got the cash.

After several straight hours of murdering people in grisly, cold-blooded detail, I've decided that I'm completely desensitized to violence now.

Aliens versus Predator: thread (and my review)
I've been playing this game and holy crap, I love it! I really can't understand why some reviewers are giving it mediocre ratings, but I'm playing it on the PC, so maybe that's the difference. The graphics are outstanding, the models and effects felt so accurate to the movies at times that my mind w...

These will be sold out when they are released. Warcraft players (*points to own avatar*) are generally nuts about the worgen, and fan demand will guarantee that these get made.

A werewolf Valentine's Day
What romantic things would werewolves do for each other? Would it differ from normal people? Chocolates might not be on the menu. What are a werewolf's Valentine's Day traditions?

Re: Loved one...
I would make sure I was in top physical shape as a human, so in case a situation like this arises, I wouldn't have to shapeshift. (Assuming shapeshifting happens at a fraction of a second anyway, which in most stories it doesn't.)
