Re: A Moral Dilemma

Pragmatism overrides morals on this True. Though it was actually from a pragmatic stance that I was arguing in favor of not holding her against her will. Ask yourself what would be a greater threat: A newly-bitten werewolf on her own, or a werewolf within the pack who doesn't trust you and is most ...

Re: The best weapon against a werewolf

I would never expect to be able to outmaneuver or overpower a werewolf, so my primary strategy would involve keeping as much space between us as possible. That said, my preferred method of taking one down would be with a booby trap so I could ideally finish the job without the werewolf even knowing ...

Re: A Moral Dilemma

Coincidentally, there's a nearly identical scene in Inhuman . Paul passes out and wakes up in the company of his intended supervisor. . . Though the way they get around it is by only telling him one thing and one thing only right off the bat: Where the bathroom is. Which is all they tell him initial...

Re: Human domination, could we be more ignorant?

It's precisely because we would not be the dominant species without our tools that we created them. Take it away Mordin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJIQfmWx3dI Ultimately, those are my sentiments as well. Just because we have the capacity to wipe something from the face of the Earth doesn't mean...

Re: A shadow of what we once were

Honestly, I never really felt like The Pack died, or even that it's a shadow of its former self. It's certainly less active, but I always felt less like it was dead and more like it's just hibernating. Essentially, we're at the point where a lot of us honestly don't know what else to do. We've debat...

Re: avatar problems

If you host it on an external service, like Imageshack and such, then link directly to the image, it shouldn't throw the error. That's actually what I had been doing, but I was still getting errors that way too. So I've tried uploading a jpg directly. Still too early to tell if that's settled thing...

Re: Daily Laugh-A-Lot

This wasn't recent, but I feel like sharing it anyway. When I was working at the convenience store one time, this woman and her little daughter came in, and while Ms. Mother-of-the-year was at the counter having me ring up her cigarettes and beer, the kid was wandering around unattended and went up ...

Re: Disney owns Star Wars now?

I grant you that the three prequels were not masterworks of the cinematic artform. That said, a game is a whole different kettle of fish. You sort of expect that any game based on a movie will generally suck (and any game based on Kinect just multiplies that factor -- as Fable III has amply demonst...

Re: can a werewolf get bullied

Keep in mind that there's more to bullying than just physical bullying. I had to put up with a lot of problem kids growing up, but only one was ever really physically violent. The rest were either rich little twerps that enjoyed rubbing it in how much more money they had than you, or idiots that enj...

Re: Disney owns Star Wars now?

Meh. I am already way, way beyond caring about anything Star Wars at this point. Disney might be renowned for its cash-grabbing, especially when it comes to sequelitis, but could they possibly do anything worse to the Star Wars license than. . . Oi. . . This?

Re: Game of Thrones

Personally, I don't know if I can read the books if I'm already watching the series. They're actually pretty close. They did an amazing job. Sucks that Sean Bean got cast as Ned Stark since he doesn't last long. Sean Bean is awesome. Sean Bean never lasts long. It's a rule. "Sean Bean dies in ...

Re: love at first bite, why we love werewolves

1.when and how did you first get into werewolves? Hard to say, though I would say it first stemmed out of an appreciation for wolves in general, which then translated into an appreciation for werewolves. The long story made short is that I have an older brother who, up until I was thirteen, used &q...

Re: Ghosts

More or less, 'something' is out there.. but what? no clue.. but there's 'something' .. if we veer too close to 'what' is out there we risk the series becoming about the paranormal instead of werewolves, and 'what' is it they see.. as opposed to being a werewolf itself, which is already about as pa...

Re: What would a were's emotional state be when first transf

I dunno.. if I was transforming for the first time.. and became more of an instinctual animal.. and had just gone through a lot lot of pain, and a lot of trauma, and energy through a transformation.. (once all that was over) .. I would think a first time shifter might wind up doing what a tired wol...

Regular people often profess to see ghosts too. I see no reason why being a werewolf would make them any more or less capable.

Re: Would you Willingly turn someone?

As a medical wonder alone, lycanthropy could improve the lives of millions. One you spend an afternoon working in an ER, you get the idea that one would have a hard time in good conscience NOT bringing about a lycanthropy epidemic that threatens to render obsolete the unmodified human form. Um... D...
