Re: Looks like we're going into Syria.
Marco Rubio was on PBS decrying how awful it was that Trump decided to pull out of Syria. Personally, I think it needed to happen. I never thought we should have been in there in the first place. That said, it sort of screws us in the long-term as far as anyone ever trusting us again -- and I'm defi...

Re: Would like some anwsers
Not to be argumentative, but if your bloodline "dates back before Atlantis" then that would imply that you have an historical date range for the (generally assumed mythic) Atlantean civilization. Also, if that date does not predate Homo Sapiens as a species, then literally everyone's blood...

Re: Greetings and salutations!
Yeah, that pretty much summarizes The Pack. Not much activity right now as there's not a lot going on in the werewolf-movie front (which, given that the last Hollywood cycle that had a werewolf-mania centered around Twilight, that's not necessarily a bad thing). But nonetheless, welcome aboard.

Re: Indecision 2016
Wow. I keep thinking this moron can't surprise me anymore with blatant stupidity -- and I keep being proven wrong. Trump just went to NATO and started tongue-lashing Germany for being too much a creature of Russia. :jawdrop: Ain't that the pot calling the kettle black? Then, just for good measure, h...

Well, I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news. This site is focused on the werewolf in popular fiction (primarily film). I'd recommend doing a search on "Therian". That might get you a better result. Question: What do you mean by "very ancient family"? Isn't everyone's family linea...

Re: Looks like we're going into Syria.
To go back on the North Korea thing: I'm thinking that the latest about-face from Kim Jong Un is part of some byzantine plot to get economic concessions. I don't think that he actually intends to scrap his nukes. I am intensely interested in what the "very stable genius" master dealmaker i...

Yeah, apparently the "twist" ending was that it takes place in the Unbreakable setting.
It was still pretty good though. Not as good as his other movies, but a good popcorn matinee.

Re: olympus has fallen
I'm sorry, but that was one of the dumbest movies around. Almost every aspect of the thing was the cinematic equivalent of dragging your nails down a chalkboard. I mean, the entire plot revolved around hijacking an AC-130 and sneaking it into the NCA airspace... and then without even going into how ...

Well, at least we know that Trump doesn't consider Norway a "sh**hole country" -- which is actually progress if you think about it since it's both a country with a highly developed social state and a member of NATO. So maybe we're turning the corner here? EDIT: Also apparently the W...

Re: Help needed about werewolf legends.
Uniform...don't suppose you could give me any specific references to the "full moon being fairly well established by the end of the Roman Empire", could you? Actually, I was referencing the Satyricon. I misremembered the quote as having been a full moon... That said, a moon shining like t...

Re: First Meeting
Well, The Pack's Den was originally associated with a film project called Devoured, which in its original iteration was a pretty lame "creature-feature" with werewolves. The director, a guy named Anthony Brownrigg, set up the site to sort of poll werewolf fans what they wanted to see in a ...

Re: Indecision 2016
...why is Trump hated? The fact that he fired the FBI director (in what is a pretty clear case of obstruction of justice) and belittled it and a whole bunch of agents has sort of poisoned the well with both the FBI at large and much of the Justice Department -- (Appointing Senator Jeff Sessions as ...

Re: Help needed about werewolf legends.
The "full moon" thing, while there are vague associations intermittently throughout Europe, probably based on actual wolf activity (and communal singing) levels, really seems to have become "canon" for werewolves mainly with that movie... I'd disagree. The association with the f...

Re: Hunters
I think that most people who are inclined to murder someone without extraordinary provocation, are highly impulsive and the diametric opposite of the calm, deliberative sort that goes to the effort of setting all that up. A professional assassin or a serial killer, I could see, but someone who's goi...

Re: Would you Willingly turn someone?
Of course, the ethical issue of turning someone gets rather more complex if the person is incapacitated and terminal (say from a severe injury) and turning him/her is the only plausible means of saving their life -- and even more complex if the person is someone that the werewolf deeply cares for.

Actually, the only really... ahem, "good" parts can probably be pulled up on a YouTube search. I'd advise against actually watching the entire thing (unless you have Netflix... and two hours of spare time you won't miss).

Y'know, God help me but I actually liked the scene where the nerd-dude drives off the werewolf by biting him -- revealing that he has silver fillings.

Okay, so I stumbled upon this little thing on Netflix (basically because I heard it had a werewolf in it). Cr@p movie, to be sure, but I would like to say that I sort of liked the creature design. I never really thought that an entirely CGI werewolf could look any good, but... And again, I'm not pra...
