Your avater tells me that you are either a strong girl or a coolish kinda girl (like a girl who is aware of everything cool these days) who has a silly side (the duck) if that isn't true about you, then you should change it. :D That just about sums it up. One thing you should know, though: JPEG is ...

I'm for merging that into neck fur, or simply getting rid of it. Maybe werewolves don't have to shave if they shift regularly :)

Anyway. Personally, for the sake of accuracy to the lupine form, I'm for getting a full 6 of normal or close to normal wolf size, perhaps the top two a bit enlarged due to the human influence. In males, the same thing except much less so, probably effectively invisible.

Discussion of religion is fine. It's when people start implying that someone else's religion is for some reason or other unintelligent to follow or just "bad" that things start to go in a direction defined largely by flamewars and such.

Meh. To properly hold up my side of this is going to take more time than I have at the moment, I think. So I'll just summarise my opinion and leave it to y'all to tear apart however ya like. There is no real 'natural order.' Generally what's meant when someone says that is "what would happen if...

First off, don't be reluctant to post lengthily. It may or may not be read, but it shows you've at least given some thought to the matter. Now, with that out of the way, allow me to say that I didn't read all of that (most, though) but skimmed through it and will offer a suitably general reply. I'd ...

I made this nick up from scratch, playing with sounds until I hit on something neat and then spelled it out phonetically. Annoyingly enough, it turns out that at least a few other people've done the same. I suppose that's what you get when you have millions of people online :P

Myself, I'm more concerned about angry livestock farmers than actual hunters. I ask nobody in particular: What's the point of trying to decimate the local wolf population if you lose some livestock to feral dogs (or perhaps even actual wolves) when it'd be cheaper, more practical, take less effort, ...

But, I'm thinking that the point Ink is trying to make is that cattle ranchers, Republicans, and hunters aren't eagerly waiting with rubbed hands and diabolic grins for the very second when the timber wolf is taken off the endangered species list so that they can rush into national parks and preser...

While I understand what you're saying Sabre, I also don't agree with you. Wolves have a tendency to kill more than their fair share. Define "fair share." There's nothing harmonious or balanced about wolves, they're animals and they have destructive habits too. You could say the same for t...

For a species to lose its endangered status DOES NOT automatically mean there'll be a hunt for them. They'll be downgraded to "Threatened" and after that, they go to "Non-Game" status. There will only be a hunt if and only if they are designated specifically as "Game."...

Sounds like a reasonably good idea, particularily as our userbase increases. It would also make it easier to branch out even further without making any major, sudden changes later on should we need/want to. Semi-OT note: I consider being scary a good thing. It means we don't get flooded with close-m...

Son of a b****!!! Is there any reason that a metabolsim can't be variable? Sure, maybe it hasn't occured in nature yet, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Computers don't appear in nature (well, to the extent of our knowledge) and they work well enough.

They can do it. They shouldn't be able to, but they can. It almost certainly won't hold up in court if they actually challenge anyone with it, though.

You people might like to know that the Quake 3 engine is in fact now freely available, along with tools, tutorials, and so on. Take a look at id Software's tech download page for the files.

I've had a look at the code; it's well written and organized. Builds fine in MSVC6.1 without any tweaking.

Note that dogs, suffereing from hundreds if not thousands of years of inbreeding, aren't the best example. To that question, I'd say simply "No.". There's simply no way to tell. They could be orders of magnatude more intelligent, and have very good reasons for not having anything like tech...

Wolves are, of course, always a good thing.
Jaguarundi would be neat just because it's not a word you hear much.
Pheonix could potentially be cool, but it could not be. Depends how it's done.
