Re: thepacksden.com expiring
If you are interested, I am currently paying for hosting service for my own website that allows me unlimited domains. If you would like, I wouldn't have a problem with hosting The Pack on my account (we can even transfer the same domain if wanted). Here is what my service looks like in case you are...

thepacksden.com expiring
Here's the general details thepack.network is expiring. Anthony hasn't been up-to-date on his payments for hosting I've bugged him about it several times about it prior Red Victoria and Cashel Entertainment run on the same server, so they're inaccessible as well This place is our new location for th...

Re: The Pack Instant Chatroom
Anyone else having issues logging in tonight? Both the web client and the IRC. I imagine everyone would be having issues. It's an issue with the server that runs the IRC server which is unreachable. This is why I'd like for the IRC server to be a distributed IRC network instead of relying on one se...

Re: THIS FORUM IS DEAD.
Ironically as the posts per day decrease, the number of regulars on the IRC PackChat have increased. We have about +6 regulars now, when there were only two (Lupin and myself) during summer. Otherwise, there has also been quite an increase in new users recently as well in contrary to how it was a fe...

Re: Welcome Google [Bot]!
"Google [Bot]" is basically just the Googlebot crawler.
More details at: http://www.google.com/support/webmaster ... c=&type=#1
Otherwise phpBB3 just simply has bot recognition built into it.

Re: What instant messaging program do you use?
I'm always on MSN if my computer is on. It take up less OS resources than the other IM programs. Otherwise I'm rarely online in Yahoo or Skype, but the option is there. If you use a multi-protocol client like Trillian or Pidgin (which probably uses less resources than Trillian), you pretty much use...

Re: Brainstorming and commentary for the new design
I wasn't quite satisfied with my original idea. Here's something different that I made that looks even better to me than the previous one: http://thepacksden.com/thepacksden/preview.png Right now it's just an image since I haven't coded it yet at all. Otherwise I was wondering if I should do this on...

Re: Brainstorming and commentary for the new design
The search engine problem is a simple fix, as you said, to add alt tags to the images. Very easy to do without changing anything visibly, and any search engine can detect it. Typically on the title page I put search tags in the Header line of the HTML code so I don't have to rely as much on search ...

Re: Brainstorming and commentary for the new design
You're right about the colours. The blue is a little too...blue, for me. I honestly like the idea of a darker/black/less-saturated background. The white/blue colour scheme is too plain. Could we add some orange/yellows? Does anyone have any ideas for art? I'm willing to photoshop any images togethe...

Re: Brainstorming and commentary for the new design
Here's there general concept I came up with: http://thepack.network/thepacksden/example.htm It looks crappy since it's just plain ol text right now. Otherwise I don't think I've gotten the perfect set of colors just yet. But yea, it's a bit plain right now; and I think the background image causes a ...

Re: Brainstorming and commentary for the new design
I thought the original design was programmed by someone who is no longer with The Pack, and so it probably can't be recreated in a good way. Am I right here? I didn't have a problem with the original front page design from an aesthetic standpoint. Just that it was bereft of content, had dead sectio...

Re: Brainstorming and commentary for the new design
I like the current color set. I like square corners, slight margins, and static width. I like either solid colors or something textural, but the texture should be reserved and simple. If we have a solid banner with appropriately werewolf-specific logo or imagery, I don't think stock pictures are ne...

Re: What instant messaging program do you use?
I use Pidgin for: MSN , AIM , Yahoo , XMPP/ Jabber , and Facebook Chat (there's a plugin for Pidgin to do it). Then I use XChat for IRC . And I occasionally use Skype . I get a laugh if nobody here uses ICQ anymore (I had a user ID like probably 10 years ago). I used to use Trillian, but it was pret...

Brainstorming and commentary for the new design
I don't quite have a complete design envisioned yet as of how main pages of The Packs Den shall look (excluding the forum section). Also, I don't quite know what a lot of you would look for in a new web design for The Packs Den. Thus I figured I'd ask for what you guys want instead of making somethi...

Re: pointless talking
It was about 40 degrees here in the daytime. Yet I still wear shorts and a t-shirt without a problem. xP Although it was probably about like 30 in the morning, thus I wore a light sweatshirt when walking to school. That's one thing that annoys me though; as to why Halloween has to be in the colder p...

Re: IMPROVEMENTS!
Status report on Pack's Den revamp? Can we pray for major changes by Halloween? Currently school has shackles on me and is throwing me around and torturing me for it's entertainment (in other words, I've been getting behind and so on in some classes). Thus, I haven't been able to start any coding o...

Re: The Pack Instant Chatroom
I tried to log on to the chat but it is not doing anything. Am I doing anything wrong? Are you trying the web-based client that's located at: http://kiri.nonexiste.net:2001/ ? Also, do you have a browser that's at least somewhat recent? (IE 7+, Firefox 2+, etc) Otherwise you can try using an IRC cl...

Re: Custom Titles
I apologize if this question has already been asked and answered. It takes me 15-45+ minutes just to open a single page on my Net-Connection here, so looking it up is troublesome I've been considering on writing an alternative minimalistic style for those with bad connections and/or portable device...

I'd be willing to help you regarding the web-aspect (not necessarily the art in the actual webcomic). And chances are that you'll probably end up with the same software that's going to be used on the Alpha Luna (which I'm working on) website soon.

Sorry that I haven't read through this topic and stated my thoughts yet. As for ownership, this website is registered to and paid for by Anthony Brownrigg. I also believe the logo for The Pack is trademarked (or in the process thereof) to Anthony as well. The only contacts you have is Anthony, the a...
