Well if they have an extension like that, I just hope that it comes with the standard controller.... along with the analog extension.... ....er.. wow, I'm throwing these all into one package for a reason but I have a feeling they'll be asking for an additional 40 dollars per controller or something ...

Well, my computer is now broken so for the next few weeks I'll probably be gone. I am working on scrounging together enough money for a new machine but I'm afraid this happened at a very bad time. Further updates on the situation will be posted at my livejournal, which you can find at... http://www....

I'm not gonna just pirate a copy of windows okay. I don't care how you justify it yourself, for me it's just not worth the risk. Actually gaming PC's are not the most expensive kind of PC out there. Servers and Rendering-PC's are as far as I can tell. However throwing gaming capabilities ontop of th...

Oh if you're cutting out the cost of the OS it's easy to get a computer for a darn good price. BUT Burning a copy off the internet is illegal. So I can't do that. and no I'm not going off of Best Buy prices, I'm going by NewEgg and Price Watch prices. Oh, and btw, 100gigs does not constitute an imme...

Keep in mind, that if you're a media/graphic design hound, what you're going to want the most is a TON of FAST ram, and an immense HDD that's very fast. Both items even out to costing nearly 100 dollars each, throw in XP pro for an additional 150 dollars, and you're upto 350 dollars before buying th...

Yet another reason I like consoles. There's rarely incompatability issues, they've seem to keep up with PC's for increasingly long periods of time, and above all these, they're comparativly cheap. ;) Cause of all these, I really wouldn't pick up a serious gaming PC. They're just, not cost effective ...

Oh, my PC isn't powerful at all. Pentium 3, 850mhz, 256MB's RAM, 64MB card. I need to replace it since it's falling apart but new machines arn't cheap. Though, I suppose I could always run it on my brothers machine. He essentially gave me about 700 dollars to put a machine together for him last Janu...

Well indeed, I think the things in these demo's were pretty basic, so I'm pretty sure that all consoles will be able to do things a step or so above these without much trouble. Course, Agaia's claiming that they're gonna be capable of doing 30 thousand ridged bodies when thier final hardwares finish...

Sorry, misread your comment about Full Auto and the XBox. Though I should note that as far as I know, the games engine was made on a beta-kit which had a substantially weaker CPU. Plus, as I mentioned earlier, a lot of the spit and shine is added in the final months of development. So some of the de...

Okay, specifically, what I heard is that the beta drivers for the hardware could only support 1/4th the amount of ridged bodies and 1/4th the amount of particles the final hardware was capable of. As per why it's so slow. I would actually assume that they're trying to slow things down so developers ...

Okay, again, the PS3 has 7 Co proccesers that're pretty much designed specifically for things like physics and AI. They can do rendering but they arn't all that good for it. So quite a large chunk of the slack can be picked up by those when it comes to particle effects. That being said, yes, mostly ...

Incase folks are wondering. You can see examples of what games with advanced physics and particles acceleration look like at the URL below. http://www.ageia.com/press/press4.html Sadly, not only are most of these demo's put together using hardware running at roughly 1/4th the power of the final PPU'...

I think note that advanced particle physics make a BIG difference. Particle Effects of course have been used for awhile in games but they've always been very simplistic and mainly used for little more then semi-fancy light-shows. Advanced physics are a little different. Say for example, somebody fir...

Okay, first off, to correct an earlier point. I did a little research and a first generation PPU can only do about 30 thousand Ridged Bodies, not 50 thousand. Though that's still quite impressive. As for Penny Arcade, well, I don't really consider them to be a fair source of analysis. I mean, first ...

Oh, I'm just a woofle, nothing more, nothing less, if people ever needed me to go into a position of leadership or whatnot, I wouldn't give myself a different name, because it ultimatly wouldn't serve any purpose. I am me, and nothing more. Any ranks and titles I obtain along the way have no barring...
