Re: Buried six episodes under

If net execs had that same mindset with The X Files , that show would never have made it. Indeed, they did kill off another show, The Lone Gunmen , which was a great X-Files spin-off. This is a little off topic, but I watched only the pilot of "The Lone Gunmen," and I'm surprised not many...

Yes, I'm old enough to remember "Manimal." It was one of my favorite shows when I was kid--that and "The Incredible Hulk," for obvious reasons. I saw a few TF clips on the web recently, and considering that there was no CGI back then, and it was just cheesy '80s TV, I thought the...

Re: Eighteen years!

Mine started--oh, bloody heck, EXACTLY eighteen years ago tonight! It was May 4, 1987 (OK, this post shows 5/5 GMT, but I posted this around 10pm 5/4 local time), and the network premiere of Teen Wolf inspired my own daydream about werewolves. The rest is history... Your werewolf anniversary happen...

In case people don't know, since the first movie opened with a plane crash, and the second one opened with a huge car pile-up on a freeway, the third will also open with an elaborate crash sequence. I was wondering how they could top the other two until I read a news brief describing the scene: it w...

"Werewolf" DVD

I just read this in a press release about bringing back the T.V. cartoon "Family Guy" and thought it was hilarious. Let's just say we're not going to get to see the '80s T.V. show "Werewolf" (with special effects by "Howling" and "AWIL" maestro Rick Baker) on ...

Re: Gah! Stupid newbie questions!

 Hi there... I'm a newbie! Anywoof, I love werewolves and I admire you people making a proper movie (right?) about them. Well, I have a few questions about the werewolves you are creating - how they're gonna be. ?? 1) Can your werewolves transform when they wish to? I kinda don't like the ide...

Re: A slogan/ catch phrase for the Pack.

Why not have a catch phrase? From a spoof of American Werewolf in London from MAD magazine (appeared shortly after the movie hit US theaters)-- David Kessler (singing & tap-dancing): "I'm a werewolf, you're a werewolf, he's a werewolf, she's a werewolf, wouldn't you like to be a werewolf t...

Seeing as how the "Howling" is part of my username, I suppose I should throw my two cents in as well. Like other people said, if it was the original, I might consider handing over half a grand, but it's obviously a copy. It doesn't even look like the one they used for the movie. It's too c...

How about just "Be A Were"?
Or David Bowie's "Come and watch the strange Ch-ch-changes!"
I know! Paraphrasing Bruce Banner's famous line: "You'll like us when we're angry!"

I'm kidding, of course.

Don't tell Steven Spielberg and the producers of "A.I." At the end of the movie, there is a clone made of the robot's mother by using a strand of hair he plucked out years ago.

Mark my words, when Freeborn finally hits theatres, it will be competing for ratings with Cursed II . Not bloody likely, given its horrendous box office. Also, Wes Craven swore he wouldn't do anyone one, with all the trouble he had, and the story itself does not even hint at a sequel; it was just a...

I actually wrote a short story that described the "mess" of a TF aftermath: there were shreds of clothes, traces of blood from the gums and cuticles, broken human nails when the claws burst through, and stray hairs, both human and wolf, from the growth.

If things really are dead here, I vote that the producers offer more info about this film, so we'll have more to talk about. I guess that's why there's a separate section to this forum called "Freeborn." I think it's time more stuff was added there.

As for myself, I generally like twist endings like "Psycho," "The Sixth Sense," or "Fight Club." However, there is a danger of doing them wrong, like the unfortunate "The Village," which had an ending that pretty much invalidated everything that came before. I...

"Wolf Lake" was so bad, they canceled it on two different stations. My favorite scene was when Lou Diamond Phillips, Mr. "La Bamba" Man himself, barges into a church in the middle of a mass holding a photo of his ex-girlfriend in his hand and demands to know where she is, accusin...

My dreams, generally, are not at all fun. But for some reason I've never died in one. *shrugs*. According to many theorists and dream analysts/psychologists, you can't actually die in a dream, or you will die in real life. This was the inspiration for the whole "Nightmare on Elm Street" s...

Yeah, that's definitley the episode I saw. I knew it wasn't "Tales from the Crypt." See, it was so long ago, and I was so young when I watched it (I was only 9 in 1986) that I forgot the details of the story, i.e., the old man was actually a vampire, and it was his fault the townspeople tu...

"Tales from the Dark Side" Episode

This is kinda off topic, but it does involve werecreatures. I was wondering if anyone remembered watching a show in the late '80s that was an anthology of horror/thriller/suspense stories, like "The Twilight Zone." It might have been "Tales from the Dark Side," "The New Twil...

I was never a big "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fan (the T.V. show, not the movie), but I did happen to catch the episode featuring a female werewolf/goth band lead singer. She says that she always feels an incredible "buzz" before the Change, kinda like euphoria mixed with drunkene...
