Re: Werewolf Code?

Although many characteristics can be expressed through simple numerical values, I believe the code should allow users to express their creativity as well. Many concepts can be so unexpected, that they can't be applied to such a simple code. In my mind, it should combine both code and a summary. For ...

Re: Fenrisulfr

So, basically, 'Wolf from the swamp?' BTW, is it 'from the swamp', or 'from a swamp'? I can't tell, I'm afraid. None of the sources explained it. Mind that many languages don't distinguish between "a" and "the". I don't know if that's the case here. you ever got a question on no...

Re: Fenrisulfr

Various unconfirmed sources I've found say, that "Fenris" (or "Fenrir") translates as "from the swamp". "Ulf", "ulfr" or "ulfur", stands for "wolf".

Re: vampires vs. werewolves in prison

Upon hearing the idea of a transformed Vampire being pulled into air conditioning I remembered a question that occurred to me some time ago: What would happen, should a Tzimsce Vampire turned into blood (4 Lv. Vicissitude) be flushed down the toilet?

What I believe is forgotten is that both Lycanthropy and Vampirism can be handled in different ways. Either as blessings or curses, either as great merits or terrible flaws. The outcome of such conflict would vary depending on which approach would be used. Additionally, so far we've been analysing i...

Re: Hairy palms??

Also heard that hollywood was the one who came up with the Full Moon thing. If i remember, most of the legends never even spoke of the full moon turning humans into werewolves... Although the folklore doesn't seem to mention any connection between the Moon and Werewolves, this motif can be found lo...

Any improvement in quality will be helpful. Good luck, Mr. Sullivan.

Click and Clone

An amusing way to learn the process of cloning. Fast and simple. The rest of the site is worth seeing too.

It doesn't refer to Werewolves as such, but I hoped that other shapechanging animals are also within the scope of The Pack's interest.

"Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio" by P'u Sung-ling

...translated by Herbert Giles. These tales, collected during the XVIIth and XVIIIth century, give a wonderful insight into Middle Kingdom's mythology and culture. It's a reading I strongly recommend. What will attract most attention will probably be stories about Huli jing - the fox spirits. http:/...

Yes, that's the story I was referring to. Don't worry, though. I can see no reason to apologise. Interestingly enough, there is a very similar story coming from the British Isles. The details are quite different, but the premise is identical. I can't recall the title, I'm afraid. You've mentioned kn...

There is an additional interpretation of urinating around one's clothes. As the narrator mentions later on, the clothes his companion left on the road were stone hard and impossible to move from their place. A researcher whose book I read believes, that urinating was a mean to prevent the clothes fr...
