Re: Current status (domain expiry, no new server, and more)

I have a new server that we'll be able to jump to (the virtual private server that hosts paradice.net), but still don't have our official domain; therefore, after months of no success of a response we registered thepack.network which shall be the next location. The only hold back right now is creati...

Re: New Domain, New Name

Alternately I just realized yesterday that I could just register thepacksden.net since that's apparently not taken and within the desired criteria. I wouldn't mind registering longlivethepack.com, just means it would be another $10 (per year).

Re: New Domain, New Name

So now that I've officially graduated from the tax-funded public education system, I now have time available once again. Overall, we still need to agree upon a reasonable domain. I'll redefine the criteria: A TLD of .com or .net Something that's concise (1-3 words, 4 words is debatable) Relevant Not...

Golly gee, those sneaky TelCo's!

Just gotta love it when an industry tries to start a "public awareness" campaign that's obviously in favor of themselves, rather than the consumers at all: http://tech.slashdot.org/story/10/05/11/221207/The-Telcos-Secret-Anti-Net-Neutrality-Strategy Just makes me want to stab something.. H...

Re: Current status (domain expiry, no new server, and more)

Otherwise as a few examples of things that we really need to do, but can't (due to lack of credentials, which we previously had) are: Upgrade the forum. We're at version 3.0.4, the recent version is 3.0.7 which has a couple new features (RSS/Atom syndication, quick reply, etc), Upgrade the forum for...

Watch out for pro-wrestler vampiric politicians! :o

A news article published today in the local newspaper. My German teacher even read it out loud in front of the class today. http://www.faribault.com/news.php?viewStory=97397 A Faribault teenager who left home to join a self-proclaimed vampire she met online has no intention of returning to her famil...

I don't like that front page.
Then our only way to be able to fix it is first to acquire the appropriate credentials; which means someone would have to bug Anthony.

Re: Front page?

Actually it shouldn't be. It implies something with the .htaccess file was modified. Otherwise nobody has access to the filesystem (other than Anthony, most likely), ever since the last time The Packs Den went inaccessible. So I actually can't do anything of it without the sufficient credentials.

Re: Depression thread

So for over about a year from now I haven't been able to accomplish anything along with the factor of lack of interest in pretty much anything. Haven't been quite swell with school (end of last year was when I first failed any classes, and it seems to be continuing to my senior year), haven't produc...

Current status (domain expiry, no new server, and more)

As most of you may have noticed, you weren't able to access The Packs Den between December 6th to 14th. This is because the domain "thepack.network" was in a post-expiration phase since Anthony didn't pay for the continued registration (which is just $10/ year ). It's called the Redemption...

Re: Restructure The Pack forums?

You can access the subforums by clicking the link to any individual one under the listing of their patent forum; in otherwords, where it says "Subforums" and lists the links to them on the board index. I hate how they're listed with comma separation, whereas I'd prefer it would be one subf...

Emoticon organization

How should we have the emoticons be organized? What are the "primary" emoticons that should be shown when posting, without having to open a new window to see the rest? Should we have them categorized, or have a search engine that finds relevant emoticons to your search (nearly instantly, h...

Website Layout & Design

Considering that we'll finally be expanding out from just the forum, we'll need a bit thorough planning on what a convenient layout would be. Before any development is done, it would be best to have everything planned out first. Such as content, layout, design, and development. To start off, the lay...

Re: Werewolf Code?

We/I should go further with execution of the task, although some things still have to be thought over yet: Should it be only a code and require people to use an encoder/decoder? Or should it be a list of the attributes and the selected values in readable form? If it's shown as a list, should it be o...

Re: Server downtime

Re: Server downtime

Just to clarify as the subscription idea: It's not for charging an arm and a leg. Perhaps $5/half year, it could even be lower. (in comparison, deviantART is at $5/ month ) Assume 30 people all buy a subscription for a year long, that totals to $300. Of course, subscription would not be the ONLY opt...
