Re: Looks like we're going into Syria.
I reiterate: I'm still not sure why we want to get rid of Assad. He's a stabilizing force in that neck of the woods. Yeah, he's an evil f***tard -- but he's a secular evil f***tard. Just one problem with that argument: Syria isn't stable. Even from a pragmatic douchebag's point of view, Assad has n...

Re: Looks like we're going into Syria.
Y'know what? It turns out I'm actually psychic: I foresee Kim Jong Un saber-rattling, and ultimately overtly threatening the South with war -- then backing off and offering to shut down the reactor as an olive branch in exchange for more foreign aid. If we're lucky, maybe they'll f*** up and blow t...

Never said otherwise. In fact, that was one of my earlier points. And I resent the implication that I ever argued to the contrary.lovec1990 wrote:i agree but not all can be turned in my point of view you will need to remind them of this.

Re: Human-form telltale signs?
I always kind of liked the yellow eyes in all forms, but I've come to realize that that would be too much of a giveaway. Of course, color contacts solve that problem... I really don't know what to think. If you agree with my first point about werewolves bleeding easily (or at least easier), yellow ...

K.T. has the right of it. Our opinions are just that: Opinions, and with little to nothing beyond speculation to base them on, we can't expect them to ever be treated as anything more than opinions. The opinions of others, however, may be wildly different. I might think lycanthropy, with all its dra...

so how would you feel if somebody decided that you needed to be a vampire and executed that decision for you without asking you in advance? "Oh, you liked going out during the day? Oh -- well -- sucks to be you, then." I'd probably shove a stake through his heart if I hadn't already shove...

Re: Would you use the monkey's paw?
No, I wouldn't use it to become a werewolf. Or anything else unnatural, for that matter. But yeah, I'd use it. Not sure on what though, because I'd put a great deal of thought into it, both what to wish for, and how I could possibly word it so that it's at least more likely to go sour in a way I can...

Re: The werewolf as superhero
I think this whole topic misses a pretty big issue: Regardless of how the werewolf in question works this, he's going to wind up as the bad guy. It really doesn't matter what the guy he's trying to nail is doing (rapist, child molestation, or whatever), the simple fact that there's a FREAKING WEREW...

Re: The werewolf as superhero
only young people(16-21) would think it would be cool to run around saving people and hooking up with prety girls at school Only young people would think being a werewolf would actually help them hook up with girls too. And though that's technically correct, trust me on this: You don't want to hook...

sorry but i dont quite get it what do you have against this movie. Warning sign #1: It's a comedy horror. Which, more often than not, translates to "bad horror." Unless it's a horror spoof like Scary Movie , a psychological comedy-horror like Red Victoria or a completely over-the-top conc...

Re: Wolf Cop (film). $1M budget.
"Occasional blackouts" tells you that this is definitely NOT a Pack production. The most it could possibly be is the work of somebody who was a Pack member for a few weeks before storming off in a rage because we were "trying to destroy werewolves." And this, ladies and gentlemen...

Re: That US gun control thing
*nods* The real meat of the gun bill would have been the extended background checks. Of course, since criminals and lunatics are the gun manufacturers' best customers, the gun lobbies were opposed to that too. Good point. I'd forgotten about the background check issue. I would however mention that ...

Re: That US gun control thing
Well, the real reason that the assault weapons ban didn't pass had little to do with public opinion in the U.S. and far more to do with how well funded the gun-lobby is instead. The whole issue is moot, however. If we're talking about gun violence in the United States, we're talking about small-cal...

Re: Human-form telltale signs?
if WW would really react on some substance they come in contact with it you can fill crop dusting plane with substance if its in liquid state and go flying over town while your friends are in town watching if there is any WW in town. And kill everything else in the process. Unless there's some kind...

ok,meybe WWs would have reaction(partialy shifting or completly shift into his WW form) on some substances found in some plants, but they need to come into direct contact with that substance. I think something forcing them to shift wouldn't be a "telltale sign" that someone is a werewolf....

Re: The relationship between a werewolf and a disabled human
I actually have exactly that in the Inhuman setting. Whenever werewolves are exposed or are otherwise incapable of maintaining their anonymity anymore, they assume full wolf form and go live (more often than not) in a wolf sanctuary in a neighboring state. Supposedly, the sanctuary then gives them t...

The biggest issue I think there is here is the tendency for the media (on both sides of the debate) to find the craziest whack-job they can, and make sure that that person'e insane ideology becomes the dialogue -- not because of a political motive, but because of what I call the "daytime talks...

Re: The Nuts & Bolts of the Transformation to Full Wolf
Okay, this is just me talking about my werewolves from Inhuman , which may or may not be reflective of the consensus of The Pack as a whole. 1. How do your hands change? The nails toughen up, becoming thicker and more prominent, and the werewolf will grow fur over them. Other than that, there actual...
