Re: National Transgender Day of Remembrance
And there is NO DETERMINING CONNECTION between Sex and Gender-behaviour. That isn't to say that a body doesn't matter - in the end, some bodys can do this, another body can do that - but it is to say, that in the end culturally determined opinions make up the things that we call female and masculin...

Re: Situation Report??
Just because their posts were written a while ago does not make their comments any less valid. We usually refer to those threads with the intent of having newcomers go back, read them and add to them if applicable, not just because we consider the discussion off limits. Besides, even if the posts a...

Re: Situation Report??
We should delete or archive all threads older than 2008. People are discouraged from starting threads because the topics have been "talked about enough," but by whom? All those Freeborn-inspired dinosaur topics from years ago are filled with posts from people who are no longer active. The ...

Re: WTF was that thing...???
That concept art is badass. To me it seems like the perfect cross between human and wolf. Add a tail to the creature to denote more wolfiness and the design would be complete.

I wanted to see this movie really bad this weekend, since I heard it was "opening." But apparently no theater in my state is playing it until the 25th. Sigh.

Re: Melding clothing with the shifter
As a werewolf, I find it ridiculous that clothes would just disappear and then reappear when you shift. That is really complete nonsense. When you shift, clothes would expand and some may even tear, but they wouldn't magically vanish and reappear. Unless you're a magic werewolf. However, if you are...

I'm back, and we were completely blown away! The place just doesn't feel real; you feel like you're in a movie when you're there. Imagine a Renaissance Festival, but with a billion dollar budget! I got to leave the familiar realm as we know it for almost a week. Tell me you stayed at one of the Dis...

Oh Christ, it's like Battle for Terra but set on a bioluminescent Australia Planet. Just nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure. Yep, this is exactly what I thought when I saw the trailer. Battle for Terra with $200,000,000 tagged on. Too bad some of the CGI looks just as bad. I'm g...

Re: hey i'm new and just now finding my way around
Welcome to The Pack! :) You'll find a lot of in-depth discussion about werewolves here, but given that werewolves are fictional creatures, we do not accommodate repeated fantasy claims of actually being a werewolf, or being able to physically shapeshift. We do have a roleplaying forum for those kind...

Any Godzilla fans here? Movies, toys, games, whatever. Anyone have any neat Godzilla stuff they want to share?
I've heard several rumors this year about a Godzilla reboot, but nothing firm.

Me, I'd prefer they be domesticated if it means their continued existence. I've waited 47 years to hear a wolf howl in the real world, I don't want it taken away by a bunch of people who think Sarah Palin is the best thing that's happened to this country. To answer your question, yes, I would prefe...

The study focused around the trend in Russia to domesticate silver foxes as pets. A paper from Cornell was published on the subject: http://cbsu.tc.cornell.edu/ccgr/behaviour/Index.htm The effort has been going since 1959 and I'm pretty sure there are domesticated wolf bloodlines that go back that ...

Funny how everyone here is carrying on a conversation about Wolf Gal behind her back and whether she should own a wolf, and she's not even replying. I don't think we should jump to conclusions until we at least hear her side of the story (although I will admit, some assumptions might prove to be tr...

I don't really see why you are so negative towards zoo's. I don't know about the zoo's in the US, but the zoo's I have been to seemed really caring towards the animal's that lived there, and I'm pretty sure that the people who work at zoo's who are educated in their job know alot more about wolves ...
