Re: Lycanthropy treated in a positive light - not a curse
^ personally that whole thing would be fixed if more stupid humans admitted that they are animals too. And weird ones in our own right. But they feel as though they are degrading themselves......ridiculous.

Re: I have an interesting question
No, thank you for that link Brb-san! for those who dont want to scroll down that page... The T-virus is built like many viruses, but not all. As the virus makes contact with a cell's membrane, it inserts its genetic coding into the cell. The cell absorbs the viral genome into its own genetic make-up...

Re: I have an interesting question
nope. I was actually using my own research. I wrote a book about werewolves. I should have some good arguments to enforce what I know. The problem is that instead of stating that your creatures were that way, you said that ALL creatures of that type are that way. We all have different ideas ...

Re: I have an interesting question
blackwolfhell-san..... you might wanna fix your post a little bit. your stating thing about creatures that might not really exist as facts....Especially since like werewolves, there are countless interpretations of vampires and zombies. Though I think you did that by accident...... It sounded like y...

Re: The Term "Lycan".
^ it being everywhere doesn't mean that it grows quickly. you might be thinking more of moss than lichen. unlike moss lichen can come in bright reds or yellows and can look like it has small leaves rather than moss. Lichens can grow in harsh environments like snowy or extremely dry areas, while moss...

Re: The Term "Lycan".
...um...just so everyone knows....lichen doesn't grow on bread. even if it did, a patch of lichen the size of a small coin( an american quarter, if you will.) is about 200 years old. They take a reeeally long time to grow.

Re: The Term "Lycan".
The version of that story that I read is that Zeus was on one of his jaunts where he randomly got human women pregnant( as a wolf no less....) and one of them was the wife of King Lycaon. Now the child that she had from Zeus was treated pretty badly by the king (sort of like Cinderella.) and Zeus fo...

Re: On the Man Eater Issue
Yeah this works....but i would think that a werewolf would follow it's original instincts in this case. Someone sick, old, and weak would be the ideal prey. I mean....if everyone was on the menu then at that point humans would've already taken counter measures.......so the least inconspicuous kills ...

I put 5....but that's not exactly true anymore.....I wanted that strength for all the wrong reasons when I was younger, and that by getting that power and using it for revenge or release would just create more sadness in this world.....eventually by the time that I started thinking that way, I mysel...

Re: Cure
Well the first thing I have to say about this is that: ( this is assuming we're dealing with a world like ours. or it's based in this day and age.) 1. In order for a government organization to announce something like a "cure" for lycanthropy to the general public, the public has to believe...

experienced fighter =/= martial artist
That's a whole 'nother ball game in itself.
though nowadays stuff like MMA and military fighting styles remove the "art" from the age old martial arts.....

Re: Werewolf and Kungfu
You can certainly have martial arts without spiritual stuff and frankly, I think that a lot of werewolves who aren't pre-disposed to spiritual stuff would totally ignore any spiritual aspect. You have to care about the spiritual aspect to begin with to even care about incorporate it into the traini...

"turning humans by force and using them as pawns by keeping them feral" is kinda what you're saying? Sounds kinda dastardly, and good basis for a story! fu fu fu fu........

Re: Werewolf and Kungfu
No you aren't kitetsu-san......Maybe the combat applications of martial arts are just more popular among non-practitioners.... :? I would say the self control and inner peace aspects of martial arts would be more beneficial to a wolf than combat....I'm not sure about other styles but I know that my ...

Re: Lets talk about fear and lycanthropy
BALANCE I think that that's what we're all looking for here. Even if it's by varying degrees because of our own opinions. I think a Werewolf should be sca-- scratch that-- Intimidating to the point of making a normal human afraid, but not a monster (though, that is not to say they cant be violent o...

Many of us are diligent proponents of the ideas you're espousing, so much that we've actually driven pure horror fans away from the forum, in some cases leading them to flame us. (I'm reminded of the one "Ravenous" author and his long diatribe about how horrible we were for not bowing dow...
