Re: Bears versus Wolves in history and mythology
Perhaps it's due to competition of resources. Wolves have actively hunted human livestock, while bears seem to be less of a threat due to their scavenging nature. Perhaps historical records of killer wolves are more publicized than those of bears. Hmm, great topic, Berserker! I think what you said ...

Re: New Year's Resolutions 2009!
That's another novel I'm looking forward to picking up in the future, then. Let us know when you publish it, eh? I'll be one of the first in line for a copy, because your tale and characters has certainly caught my interest too. Looking forward to it! Will do, Vagrant. *salutes* You can read it all...

Re: Happiness Thread
I basically just told my parents something I've been trying to get off my chest for what feels like forever. Of course I exaggerated the severity of my confession (nowhere near "serious" like "I'm gay/pregnant/on drugs" etc., all those things kids think their parents will kill th...

Re: New Year's Resolutions 2009!
My number one New Year's resolution is always to lose weight. I think it's everyone's. I finally lost weight in 10th grade, and now as a college freshman (who is pretty happy that maybe only 5 of the Freshman 15 actually happened - marching band saved me on that one), I'd like to trim down a little....

Re: pointless talking
I'm excited to see my best friend and his family one last time (probably) before I return to college. His mom makes great lasagna, and it'll be nice to spend some time with them. I'm also nervous because I'd like to get a big weight off my chest about some personal issues, and I'm not too sure that ...

Welcome, Shadowstorm - here, have his hardhat. It might come in handy against impending ducky attacks. :hardhat: Props to you for being a drummer. I can play so many other instruments, but drums are always way beyond me... no way, no how! And yes, if you're talking about Freeborn, I assume, I'm look...

Re: Why more males than females?
I think having a male werewolf makes the whole idea of lycanthropy more... appealing in a way. Unless society somehow changes the ideal of feminine beauty, it's probably more farfetched to appreciate some woman who gets all buff and hairy and such. Men are already usually more muscular and more hair...

Female here. Howdy. Or rather, howl-y. :howl: :oo I know just what you mean, Lone&Obsolete. There aren't too many forests in my part of town, but for a suburban area, I have enough, even a small park on my street. Some nights after a crappy experience at work, I'd go down to the park (to convinc...

Oops. Now WHERE'S THE PEN?
Haha, I like how you have given me a third name, Jingles. Saxy, lycanth, or Versa (my avatar/OC for those not in the know). Oh Lord. What do I sign?

Re: What problems would being a werewolf cause?
Well that was kind of hard to reply to, but I think what you're getting at is that I should just, upon entering a thread, should know that my ideas may differ from others', and that I am left vulnerable to criticism, as you said. For the most part I was fully aware of that. I'm not trying to declare...

Re: What problems would being a werewolf cause?
I know how you feel, lycanth... I've been avoiding this for a while too, and I've been trying my best not to comment and to even avoid Vuldari because he winds me up so much. That's what lead to me exaggerating a bit at the end there, it's because he's done this so often in the past that I find it ...

Re: What problems would being a werewolf cause?
And what's worse, is that if we combat Vuldari in turn for what he's done, we're made out to be the villains. It's a lose/lose scenario. I'm probably going to end up regretting this, but I had to get it off my chest sooner or later. Amen. Though the way you say "in turn for what [Vuldari]'s do...

And you're both assuming that we're dealing with the "feel good, hugs all around, I'm just a dude who can turn into a mutant wolf lycanthropy", and you know what? That would be nice, I agree it would be pretty cool, but let's take a look at all the legends that the werewolf sprung from, n...

Ah, awesome plan, Howlitzer... revenge is so sweet.
God, I should do that with my friend! But he's in another residence hall. At least I know where his room is. I could just aim his speakers up at his window and hope he pokes his head out, haha.
