Re: Champions Online has Awesome Werewolves!
Well, that's a matter of opinion Berserker, based upon what one person might like. I like: Tails! Hooray! And well animated tails which have different animations for each state, such as combat, flying, idle, and so on. There are claw and bite attack powers, and the ability to summon other Wolves for...

Please don't go there. :( I like this forum, but the whole association with furry/therian communities always makes me throw up in my mouth a little... If you're going to be judgemental then do you mind if I judge that? There's nothing inherently wrong with the furry or therian communities. If you c...

Re: World of Warcraft... playable werewolves?!
Hee, you beat me to posting that one. That and http://worgen.wordpress.com have become my main two sources of information for all things Worgen, usually if one doesn't have it then the other does! I really do want them to get tails though, I'm hoping they do because it's going to seem so strange see...

Re: Twilight MMO in the works
And werewolves don't dance. Werewolves don't dance, you say? True, they don't... they superdance ! http://i32.tinypic.com/2yw7iib.png (That's a frame of the Superdance01 emote from Champions Online, but with some of the animations, I have to say it's more of a thuper dance , which amuses me no end....

Re: Champions Online has Awesome Werewolves!
I felt that the customization was nice, but still just aesthetic. For the appearance of the character, it's supposed to be. It's not an old MMO fantasy Universe where one gets a shiny new sword every two hours to replace the last one, where the new one is larger, more brightly coloured, and has bet...

Re: Champions Online has Awesome Werewolves!
Customization and personalization is nice, but what sort of impact does it have on gameplay? Pick an MMO, any MMO you like. Let's say... World of Warcraft. Now Priests are fun to play, as are Druids, and Warriors, and Hunters, but those are separate classes. Now what if you could pick the bits you ...

Re: Champions Online has Awesome Werewolves!
[...] but nothing revolutionary [...] Heresy! I made a Munitions-based Werewolf and gave him the swinging travel power, the travel powers themselves (swinging, ice-slide, rocket boots, and hover-discs especially) are amazing compared to other games which tend to use mounts. And it has travel powers...

Re: Champions Online has Awesome Werewolves!
Hmm, some of those screenshots look very retro, and maybe not in a good way. I've heard that said about comic books too, and Champions Online is a very comic-booky sort of game. With all its outlines and it's Silver Age attitude. It's just a modern re-imagining of the silver age, if that kind of th...

Re: Champions Online has Awesome Werewolves!
Okay, I dinked around with the scaling of the various body-parts a bit more and tried to achieve a better colour balance. I went for a more lean visual appearance this time, and that seems to help things, and the colour balance is definitely better. The feet look a tiny bit odd though, but that's ju...

Re: Champions Online has Awesome Werewolves!
Nice, it seems to have a cell shading look to it is that how that game is? Everything in the game is cel-shaded, yep. It's designed to have a painted comic-book appearance. The werewolf looks nice, and the tail is a plus though the feet look a little off but maybe that is just the angles. I was din...

First of all, I shall just show you three images I took of my first werewolf character, from front, side, and back angles. Re: World of Warcraft... playable werewolves?!
Those weren't the threads I found, but they're probably better ones nonetheless, though the arguments against tails found within are equally as ludicrous, as it always is with people who argue against other people actually getting something rather nifty. I like the idea of haggard, dishevelled looks...

Re: World of Warcraft... playable werewolves?!
I didn't even notice the lack of tail. I was too excited to notice I guess! Admittedly, me too! At least, at first and for quite a while... As for feedback, that's not something I can do because I'm not subscribed at the moment (I'll come back to that later in this post), and I'm not going to be un...

Re: World of Warcraft... playable werewolves?!
I just had an interesting train of thought, it weent something like this... There's something odd about these Worgen, though. They look rather front heavy. They don''t have tails! D: ...well crap... They have no counter-balance, that's why they look front heavy. Blizzard will probably add tails. But...

Re: World of Warcraft... playable werewolves?!
@Terastas The Trolls of Zul'Aman could assume a gestalt Tiger form, and in Cataclysm the Trolls are getting the Druid class. And oh look, the Druid class has a feline attack form which is unique to each race. I wonder... @Chris/Terastas [Potential Spoilers] The idea is that the Worgen disease/curse ...

Re: World of Warcraft... playable werewolves?!
Has anyone posted this? [ Dude Where's my Worgen Blog ] Anyway, the reason all this has happened is because World of Warcraft has finally seen the back of Jeff "Togle" Kaplan, a man who's always obsessed over pushing for high-level contents and raids. And now that the Kaplan has moved onto...

I'll give long-standing Pack members three guesses as to whom it was that created that tinyurl.
(Hint: It wasn't Moonraiser or myself, it was someone who's OCD about posting rickrolls.)

Re: What exactly is it called?
You could name it akin to the way a lot of discoveries are called; in other words, the name of the person who discovered it, followed by a base descriptor. Something like Bassinger's Loup Garou Virus, as a basic example. There are a few types of virus which have been named in this manner. Though you...

Re: The link between Werewolves and Vampires?
The horrors of the silver screen... I see no real link between a werewolf and a vampire, and to me they're about as close as a unicorn and a centaur; sure they're both capable of shape-shifting and they both have pointy teeth, but that's where it ends. Any similarity is purely cosmetic. Before the s...
