Re: IS thepack slowly fading away?

If blue cat-people on a moon can have a top-notch movie, then so can werewolves! While this may be true in the broad sense; Avatar dealt with a new species that had no history behind it. Werewolves, very regrettably, have whole libraries of history behind them, and that is going to make the sale of...

In re: What happened in Somoma county. Since the County broke both State and Federal laws in what they did; it's very likely that the County will try to settle out of court. Re: What to do in case of lycanthropic outbreak?

Regarding ranged weapons; the best one for the firearms-challenged person is the shotgun. Yeah, it kicks (I have a couple of 12-gauges and a .410) but with a short barrel you really don't need to aim. All you do is point it in the right direction and pull the trigger. The spreading cloud of lead pel...

Rats squared. My provider (Charter) doesn't list it. Oh well, most of the movies would just make me angry over the way the story treats Werewolves and the lack of imagination in characterization of the Wulf.
Hmmm... Break even for me, I think.

Like Howlitzer says, our posting levels rise and fall over the year. Yes; now there are fewer posts and those posts are shorter. Wait a while. Once people have their schedules set or hit summer time our post numbers will rise again.

Re: Easter vacation?

Sure. I would also hard-boil eggs, dye them so the dye went deep; then peel them. The dye would be in the outer part of the white as well. Split lengtwise; I'd arrange them around the rabbit pieces on a platter. I might also "Devil" the yolks and serve them deviled side up. Yeah, it was wa...

Re: Once more... Where are the curly werewolves?

Sometimes "Curly" in ancient sculpture was there because it was hard work to chisel out long flowing locks and either braids or curls was something repetetive that could be left to apprentices to cut while the Master did the facial work. Then too, not all European hair is curly; in fact it...

Re: A Question for those who believe.

I fear that many people here wouldn't believe it even if said werewolf stripped off and shifted right in front of them. Their Reality won't admit the existence of werewolves, so no matter what; they wouldn't exist for them. Granted, werewolves seem impossible. They would violate many laws of biology...

Re: Easter vacation?

Let me see: I changed a few lightbulbs, mopped the bathroom floor, and fixed supper. To me Easter is just another day, given I'm not in that religion.

I used to serve baked rabbit surrounded by colored, peeled, hard-boiled eggs. No more rabbit in the markets anymore, so that's history.

Re: Dragons!

I like dragons, especially in art. I'm not a big fan or anything, but dragons have a simular mystery about them as werewolves. They also have more reality. When the early peoples ran across fossilized dinosaurs that were recognizable (most aren't); they created the idea of Dragons to explain them. ...

Nope. That's humanity for you; there are thinkers and there are schemers...and then there are lawyers.

Addendum and comment on Dark Oriaes last paragraphs: Vanilla Human muscles are a lot stronger than we realize; the limiting factors are usually our bones (which can handle only so much stress). Humans and Chimpanzees are roughly the same weight and size and share some 96% of the same genetics; yet C...

I think that maybe, once a female is pregnant, that it can be dangerous if not fatal to shift while being so. I believe that if a werewolf were pregnant, they would have to stay in one form until the pregnancy is over, or they risk damaging what is inside of them. Maybe... If we take the small embr...

Hate to pour water on your hopes; but take a look at the number of groups that are still there only because the members haven't removed their names. In Second Life, non-site or non-business groups tend to have about a 10% survival rate. Out of curiosity, I did some looking up of various groups by ch...

Re: Are werewolves ruining YOUR creativity?

Great imagery, Kitetsu! To answer the question about creativity; although I'm still working on the werewolf novels, I wrote a few quite non-anything supernatural stories for another website and wasn't stifled in the least. Truth is, I suspect that's a person-by-person thing. Some people can get fixa...

People tend to see what they expect to see and hear what they expect to hear...etc. You see someone with obviously digitigrade legs and feet, hair down over their ears, who never opens their mouth very wide and has a lot of body hair... and... You see someone with clubbed feet, in need of a haircut,...

Re: What is a true werewolf?

Hmm. If you refer to control over the metamorph's final appearace, then I'd say maybe. It isn't uncommon for werewolves to have both an anthro and a full wolf final shape, and that is usually a controlled ability. Now, if you refer to being able to re-shape the werewolf's body or perhaps change the ...

There is also the possibility that there are just as many females as males, only they really don't want people to know about it. And as a werewolf, they would be able to make their anonymity stick. I like Dark's idea...where a young lady discovers that she and her whole family get fuzzy from time to...

Re: What is a true werewolf?

Reasonable question. Grammatically, a Were-Wolf is a "Man-Wolf"; so "any of the above" would apply. (Were is from the latin Vir ; meaning man or male. Wolf...obvious) The words Lycathrope, Loup-Garou, and Lycan also refer to either the Gestalt Anthro Werewolf or the plain vanilla...

Yes, the old Marvel version of Thor was so different from the mythos about the nordic thunder god that only a few names coincided; everything else was Stan Lee's creation. Going back to the melding bit; that would almost be a transformation wherein bodies and clothing were exchanged for other bodies...
