Werewolves do not exist. And if they did, they'd most likely say:

Re: can a werewolf get bullied
Bullying has little to do in essence with physical size; it is an issue of force of personality . Bullies seek out weak-willed people who are unlikely to fight back. (Bullies themselves are not particularly weak-willed; they have a different kind of personality deficit.) Anything real or imaginary c...

Re: THE PERFECT BEAST *Smirks darkly*
I'm kind of with the general consensus image of lycanthropy here: Free will preserved, but neophytes have an altered, psychedelic state of mind causing one to think both instinctually and as if in a dream state. Also in agreement with the typical model around here, my werewolves have excruciating an...

Re: Ghosts
I've thought about this one, too. My storyline has other paranormal phenomena, and ghosts do exist in my werewolves' realm. I imagined at one point a werewolf noticing something and wondering why no one else seemed to feel it. He starts to wonder if he's losing it, until a dog looks in the same dire...

Re: A scientifical way to explain how werewolves shift?
Here's an excerpt of something I've been working on over the last few days, which I think applies to the topic at hand: ----- Lycanthropy is a complex subject, and designing rules that maintain internal consistency are essential to good storytelling, especially if your use of werewolves in art or wr...

Re: About all these medical test scenarios...
It depends on the doctor. If your body temperature shows a fever, you might just get told that you've got a cold. Come in about a month ago, and you might get treated for the flu. A particularly detail-oriented physician might order a CBC--blood labwork to see what your red and white blood cells are...

Re: Fifth Terminator movie
I agree about Rise of the Machines ; it undid everything intellectual and brilliant about T2. T1 and 2 were both James Cameron's works, so it's a tough act to follow. But, they did seem to go out of their way to screw up John Conner's character and the premise of free will. We have no fate but what ...

On that note, latest rumor mill is that J.J. Abrams is directing the next Star Wars franchise movie. If he does both Star Wars and Star Trek, the U.S. Justice Department may have to investigate a monopolization of geekdom.

I'm there all three days. Cathey may come for a day, or she may even end up volunteering, in which case she'll be around for all three days. I know I'll be there for the panel.

Changing weight with a shift immediately throws us out of bioloby-only, and into magic, quantum physics, and other more advanced or out-there explanations.

It was an event that happened at the lakeside shopping and restaurant district next to our neighborhood. I'll try to be off that day next year, so I can get photos.

Re: Would you Willingly turn someone?
Lycanthropy as some of us conceive it bundles superior endurance, enhanced strength, superhuman hearing and smell, and remarkable regenerative abilities. Someone who has no interest in wolves or therianthropy could still want lycanthropy in order to get relief from chronic pain, cure cancer, heal lu...

Re: A scientifical way to explain how werewolves shift?
Having cells that multiply really quickly is far harder, more risky (oncogenesis, i.e. causing cancer), and more unprecedented biologically than simply having compacted cells already in place. All the cells needed to make a tail could theoretically fit into the same area as the human coccyx, if one ...
