Re: Alameda Sheriff Investigates Suspected Werewolf Attack
That was strange. Just goes to show that sometimes truth is weirder than fiction!

Re: You're Take On Those Who Believe
Black Claw, that's interesting! Lately I've developed an interest for Native American legends and werewolves, and what you've said sounds well explained. I chose that I like to keep my mind open to the possibility, but I know it's likely not true. The thing is, I've heard of skinwalker stories where...

Re: Lycanthropy as body horror
I like the imagery of that story-I need to read that... In my thoughts, there may be an initial body horror after being recently bitten and during the first change, but afterwards: When the transformation to wolf or werewolf form is complete, a sense of euphoria and power is felt as a whole world of...

Re: Werewolves... smart...or dumb
Werewolves would be smart, retaining their human intelligence in all forms. If you wanted to kill someone stealthily, how would you do it? You'd play it out, plant decoys, maybe lure them out of their homes and into an environment where they wouldn't be heard and evidence would never be found. You c...

I'm glad there are smart/creative people here like Scott Gardener and Redeye to make up for the lack thereof on my part! I love all the interesting ideas presented on this thread and the rest of the forum; they help me refine my own definition of what a werewolf is!

Nope; I'd proclaim bragging rights for liking them before they were cool. That's exactly what I was thinking!! :D I like this guy Berserker-providing great new threads that are well thought out and interesting! If werewolves became that popular I would be super happy! That would do the opposite of ...

Re: Your werewolf obsession. Does it go in phases?
Interesting question... I know I'm obsessed because I think about them on a daily basis several times a day. The words "wolf" and "werewolf" instantly jump out and grab my attention anywhere they're seen or heard. I write about them, I try to draw them, I made a website about the...

:jester: Will that do? It's in the emoticons, with several others I was actually thinking more along the lines of the Heath Ledger Joker. Here I tried to make one: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v700/lazywolf/Joker.png I think it looks more like makeup, but then that's why I was hoping someone e...

Re: Should a werewolf be able to scale walls?
Underworld Spidey -wolf? No. Really amazingly good at parkour due to their newly acquired physical strength and abilities, which may allow them to climb walls really well? Yes. Using claws to climb? I guess, as long as the surface is soft enough or has enough surfaces to grip like brick or something.

Re: Werewolves and Mental Health Problems
My idea is that becoming a werewolf rewires a person's brain and fixes pesky chemical and genetic problems like schizophrenia. Just like it cures physical diseases. Being a werewolf is being "realigned." Yeah, I tend to think along those lines as well-not because it's logical, but because...

Re: Powers in Human Form
An older thread, but I've never posted in this one, so here goes: For the most part, to the untrained eye it's hard to tell a regular person from a werewolf. They look just like they did before they were bitten except for a few physical modifications borrowed from the wolf form. Everyone is unique a...

Re: Transformation: How long is to long?
Since Linkin Park came out with their CD Minutes to Midnight, the last song, "The Little Things Give You Away," seemed like the perfect song for a werewolf's first transformation. The first part is a little soft, and that's where they would just find out, or come to grips with, the fact th...

Re: Initiation Ceremony - The bite: How would it go? (detailed)
Ceremony? Depends on the situation. If someone finds out about the pack, for security purposes they'd get bitten on the spot. If there's more time, maybe some sort of get together where everyone meets up in some scenic, secluded place to get to know "the new guy." To me werewolves are huma...

Re: Werewolves and collars. should it happen?
Well, I guess if they really wanted to wear a collar as some type of fashion statement (or just for the heck of it) they would, but never to be led around by someone else. If it were me though, I probably wouldn't wear one unless it was to my advantage for some reason (ie: holding things while you r...

New Wolfman Remake
So, I just heard about this remake of the Wolfman movie they're planning on releasing in 2009. Rottentomatoes: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/10009704-wolfman/ IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0780653/plotsummary I've never actually seen the original (nor do I plan to) because the wolfman looks hi...

At the end of the day, the only final solution is the one that's final. And a forest is better than the back yard at a mafia don's mansion for hiding a body! Or, you could just eat it! But yeah, if anyone threatens me or my family, I will get defensive. If he's after my life, I won't hesitate to ta...

Anyone else read the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyers? (Yes, I am a guy. So what? She's an amazing writer!) I love these books! The reason I ask is because In the second book (so far) the guy she is spending a lot of time with turns out to be a werewolf, and he along with his "brothers"...
