Re: Server downtime
Well, given the fact that the loading time of The Pack in the last few days is - like outwarddoddles already mentioned - pretty slow and my (very limited) experience with sites on shared hosting basis tells me that the site will suffer a great deal more in the future, I would opt for the move to a d...

Re: Looking for players for a playtest.
Well, as I said some times before in the New World Thread - I like your system, as far as I know it so far. So count me in for another try - maybe I'll use Sasha again with some changes - depends on your setting then, since I'm sure that'll be a little bit more complicated than just the real world w...

Re: Need help identifying a song
Ah - haven't followed this research for a while - thanks for the tip!
My friend already found out where this song came from some days after I posted this on here.
Good to know that the mystery is solved though.

Re: The New World--OOC
I am really sorry to hear about your sister's death - this is the worst thing in the world I can think of - you have my deepest condolences.
I hope you will get your life sorted like you want to. Nothing to worry about the RP from my side - like Aki said: RL comes first.
Take care,
Grayheart

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen: We have found the Missing Link.
Someone whom is able to understand this, and can support themselves without needing to attack others in the same breath is someone whom is also able to display true confidence, and without looking like a politician having a go at the other "party". ... I'm beginning to feel like a chaos m...

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen: We have found the Missing Link.
The thought - that evolution implies a goal of some sorts (like becoming ultimately humanlike over time) isn't one rooted in the Darwinian concept of evolution. There's no inherent longing for improvement in evolution - it's just survival of the fittest for any given situation. And not - like it was...

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen: We have found the Missing Link.
Now you made me curious, sugarpoultry - in what kind of evolution do you believe that doesn't contradict your beliefs? I never had the opportunity to ask this, because I've never encountered a person who doesn't believe in Darwin's theory on the origin of species. Here in germany this kind of creati...

Re: The New World--OOC
Thank you for this explanation, Wingman. Yeah, blackwolfhell doesn't seem to follow this very thread. I think you meant Silvermoon, not Silverclaw, didn't you? From what I know she hasn't been online for more than a month now. Exam weeks can be busy, yes - maybe we should make a short note about suc...

This goes out to my fellow players:
"Scooby Doo, where are you?!"
Are you folks still there - namely blackwolfhell and Silent Hunter? I'm sorry to be this unnerving, but are you still interested in this?

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen: We have found the Missing Link.
I kinda figured the "missing link" wouldn't have a tail as long as the rest of their body. Well, considering the fact that the oldest known so far missing link - the so called Ororin tugunensis - lived around 6 million years ago and is the first species thought to be able of an upright st...

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen: We have found the Missing Link.
From what I heard and read about this find so far it isn't deemed by the majority of scientists as important as the press pushes it's story. It is an interesting and surely important find, due to it's amazingly good preservation - but calling it the-long-searched-for missing link to our direct ances...

and it would have worked if not for you meddling kids, and your dog too! Took me a while to get the hint due to language issues - man, how I liked this series! Errm, well - back to topic: I agree with Goliathe Dark and would opt for the third solution. Since this is an online RPG it would tak...

Sasha chuckled
"I wouldn't be surprised anymore, I guess. And indeed, this is a rather unusual place to be found in New York - although I'm quite used to surprises by now," she murmered and continued her study of the menu card.

Re: The New World--Game Thread
After answering to Karen that she really liked to get to know more about magic, she followed the Doc swiftly and looked around curiously. She knew she should be sceptical about all the things she had been told and seen so far, because during her education and upbringing things like shapeshifters an...

Re: The New World--OOC
I think the reason why we have this rhythm at the present time is that our characters still don't know each other. Additionally everyone of us speaks with one or two of the characters that are run by you - thus we are kind of dependant on your posts at the moment to keep interaction going. Now, with...

"Witchcraft, eh? Like the things Catriona could do? Or like this business women - I think, Sarah Rose-Donnel was her name?" Sasha was intrigued by all the new information she'd gotten so far. She wanted to ask more and more questions - but she was also relieved that the Doc made this sugge...

Re: The New World--OOC
It's basically just a rough build of our writing style - work in progress, kind of. If one scene is finished, we do the final rewriting of the scene. It's fun - just like playing a forum-rp.

Re: The New World--OOC
Aww, well - I think this is really the case in almost all of my posts. It's more of a habit than of an intentional thing. Together with a friend of mine I'm 'play-writing' a story - everyone of us plays a certain amount of characters and thus the story is more vivid, 'cause it's more like an open ro...

Re: Multiple alternate forms, and duration of transformation
In my imagination my ideal werewolf is able to shift his/her body gradually to every stage between wolf and human. Even partial shifting is possible, though the werewolf in question has to learn how to achieve this kind of stuff, 'cause it's easier to make the whole body shift as entity than make ju...

Re: The New World--Game Thread
Sasha - seeing Sebastians bowing - replied the gesture though not she didn't bow fully, only using her head. Somehow she liked the shaggy looking man with the strange kind of humor and the from time to time ocurring outbursts of noble behaviour that suited his name far more better than his look. &q...

Re: Need help identifying a song
Thank you Wingman for the suggestion! We followed the Pearl Jam Track, but unfortunately this wasn't the right song :( It seems like no one even remotely knows about the possible source of this song. Even in the fan forums of Primeval people have no slightest clue about it. And in England, where the...

Sasha looked at Karen for some short moments and considered the given answer. "Indeed, there aren't many drunken, tattooed dogs in the world, I guess. Well, at least in the world I knew till this very day," she almost murmered to herself then cast a look at the sleeping Glen and Doc Lowel...
