Re: "Werewolf Encyclopedia" on sale
The forward is pretty brutal, but it goes in line with cases of "lycanthropy" through out the ages, from past to present. So yes the forward has a lot to do with serial killers and how the mental illness goes hand in hand with the "monsters" that commit these horrible crimes. How...

Re: "Werewolf Encyclopedia" on sale
A loooong while ago, I posted an ad here selling the “Werewolf Encyclopedia,” and a few of you were interested, but I couldn’t find the book in my house. Well, cut to 2 years later when I’m moving out, and I finally found it in a box with other books. It’s still in good condition, so if anyone stil...

Re: Werewolves: The New Vampires?
Actually, I am still waiting for Stephenie to come up with a valid reason as to why a vampire would sparkle. Evolutionly speaking... that is... I suppose it might have something to do with their diamond-hard skin or whatnot. Though, if their skin was a crystalline structure, it wouldn't be smooth b...

Re: Werewolves: The New Vampires?
VAMPIRES...SHOULDN'T...SPARKLE! They shouldnt be nice, they should KILL people! Vampires can be anything anyone wants them to be. Seeing the history of vampires and how different they all are, all you have is an opinion, nothing more. The vampire franchise isn't copyright to one specific style, so ...

Re: Transformers
I saw the movie when it was released and I found it appalling... It was by far one of the worse movies I've ever seen. The story was slightly better than the original movies, but that really isn't saying much. As with what everybody else said, there was a LOT of effects, but nothing much else. I als...

Re: Freeborn, HOD, CL status?
No one is ever going to buy this script. At least I'm being realistic about it. More like pessimistic, but then again, you are Matt. :p Wouldn't want you any different. I believe somebody will buy the script, when that time comes. However, I also believe that it is time to move on to other pr...

Re: Freeborn, HOD, CL status?
When you consider how poorly crafted 90% of werewolf related material that has been made, it should be a surprise to see a werewolf flick that is enjoyable. CL has loads of potential.

Re: Freeborn, HOD, CL status?
Damn. Failed to make finals. Looks like CL is dead. Well not winning one contest doesn't make the script dead, after all you did ask for feed back, so they should give you an actual reason this time for not making it. Having said that, I would shelve CL for a while, and continue focusing on finishi...

ACTUALLY, as is explained in the "Wolf Man" classic's collection DVD entitled, "Monster by Moonlight"... The pentigram on the palm was a story device concieved by Curt Siodmack a German Jew who escaped Germany, evading the Halocaust. The "star" was a metaphor. If you re...

Re: Werewolves: The New Vampires?
Wingman's got a good point: Hollywood can't make a fad out of werewolves. . . And I mean that literally. They've been trying for years to make a fad out of werewolves, but nothing they've tried has ever worked. The ones that 21C Hollywood tends to bounce around to and from are vampires, zombies, gh...

Re: Godzilla Remake in the Works?
However, the new Hulk, literally erased all the bad taste in my mouth that was created by the first one.
In truth, I really liked Godzilla 98, despite its MANY flaws. I liked the design over all, if they only left out the part where it was trying to lay eggs, A-sexual, and all that junk.

Re: Werewolves: The New Vampires?
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans actually was a much better story than the first or second one. The movie was just way too short. You didn't have enough time with Sonya or Lucian to truly feel for either character. Yeah you felt bad for Lucian because Viktor was such a jerk. It would have been nice to...

This also applies to my villians. A lot of people don't like to resonate with the darker parts of their psychy, but ultimately this is what makes a villian truly a bad person, becuase it makes them real. We all have the ability to do bad things.

Re: Writers: Be honest here. . .
In truth, all of my characters have some of my characteristics in some shape or form, OR are based upon the characteristics of people I know. As a writer, I tend to draw from my own experiences. While I might have never had the situations they might go through, I try to find areas where I can relate...

Re: District 9
Actually the plot of evil humans hurting aliens isn't really new. I'm sure most of you have seen E.T. There was another film that tried to recreated that E.T. feeling called "Max and Me". While we like the idea that our race would be receptive of another "alien" race, if we can't...

Re: Do you believe in werewolves?
Again for the question to be correctly answered, you have to give more information as to what your interpretation of what a werewolf is. Do I believe that there are people out there who can transform themselves physically into a bonafid wolf... No... Are there people out there who have menifested an...
