Re: Werewolves: The New Vampires?

Apparently 99% of the people who saw Twilight list the "vampire baseball" scene as the thing they hated most. Haha, that's actually the only scene I really wanted to see out of the entire movie. Now, in my mind werewolves are not becoming the new vampires, since I'm pretty sure I can safe...

Re: Writers: Be honest here. . .

I suppose that on some level the majority of writers include themselves in their stories, unless they have another specific model in mind while writing that character. I know I'm well and truly guilty of this, but I'm trying to overcome it. To me, the mark of a great writer is not just the ability t...

Yeah, I think that's a bad enough routine to justify some substantial changes. Not any point in ruining yourself for the benefit of others without getting something from the deal.

Re: Melding clothing with the shifter

One option that may not have been explored is to make the clothing itself part of the shifter. For example, in the game PROTOTYPE Alex Mercer's jacket, pants, even shoes, are all as much a part of him as his nose or fingers, they just happen to look like clothing. Or, you could go a similar method a...

Re: Looking for players for a playtest.

If you did decide to join up that would be fantastic, but I can understand why you might not. As is I have 4 players(Omegalith and Mr.Hammerstars from Dicefreaks, and Silent Hunter and Greyheart from here at the pack) and that is the standard RPG group size, anyone else is icing on the cake.

Re: Looking for players for a playtest.

Glad to have you back, Greyheart. Counting you, I now have 4 players signed on, enough that I am going to officially light a fire under myself and get this information assembled into a readable and coherent whole. Also, yes the setting is a bit more complicated than it was in the New World thread. H...

Re: Looking for players for a playtest.

Anyone else interested? I've gotten two other players from the other forum I'm soliciting, so that's 3 right now. I would prefer between four and six for the ideal sized group. There are some great people here on the pack, and I'd hate to have to pick up some complete strangers from a different foru...

Looking for players for a playtest.

For the last while I've been working on a game system and I'm beginning to feel the urge to find out if these random numbers and words I've been throwing together make any sense when put into practice. Ideally I'm looking for around 4-6 players, though I'm really willing to settle for whoever I can ...

Re: a good RPG forum?

Hmm, well the majority of boards I know of are largely involved with a single game line, such as Dungeons and Dragons, World of Darkness, etc. Now, the core rules for D&D are available for free online(legally, in case you're wondering, due to the Open Game Content, everything you need to play ca...

Re: What to do with a human who knows too much?

So there's my answer. I'd kill him, eat him, and clean up whatever I couldn't finish. I might tell my pack leader if I have one. I would likely tell my best bud if he too is a werewolf. Would I beat myself up over it? Yeah, probably I would. Well, unless I liked the way he tasted... Have you...

Re: Humans and how do you deal with them

To the best of my guesstimation ability, and rudimentary telepathy, it should be as follows I was just wondering how you would deal with a human asking question about werewolves, [ such as them ] wanting to be [ made into ] a werewolf, or if they were interfering in pack business I think that's what...

Re: They arrest people for the dumbest reasons

Well, Matt, I think that one of the issues here is that the modifications are not legally available, at all, at any price. I can't think of a reason why some of the modifications are not legally available from the manufacturer, or from certified technicians. As is, I can't take my PS3 in to a comput...

Re: Deviant Art Q&A

Yeah, RTF stands for Rich Text Format. Words, not pictures. JPEG, GIF, PNG are all just different 'techniques'(for the lack of me knowing the proper official term) for image compression and such. For most purposes, there's no real difference between them, save that you can animate gifs(for an animat...

Re: What if...

Well, T, imagine if the 'real' werewolves don't actually physically transform, instead they have a variety of ethereal/astral powers that are invisible to normal sight. That in and of itself would throw a wrench in the plans of just about everyone out to expose werewolves. You can sit there with a c...

Re: Twilight MMO in the works

On a related note, I just hope that the werewolves will be shown much more prominently in the upcoming sequel than they were in the first film. Will we ever be able to see them in their gestalt form? Can anyone here who's familiar with the books clue me in on this? If you are speaking of the Quileu...
